Yeah, it’s only one game… and 4 teams play tonight, each of which could challenge some of these rankings. But our statistics from last night’s game are screaming to be mentioned, so I figured I’d bring them up here.

In total yardage rankings, the Broncos finished in the Top 5 leaguewide in total offense, passing offense, rushing offense, total defense and passing defense (and the top 3 in 4 of those 5 categories). And we were #1 in total defense.

Total Offense

  1. Dallas Cowboys – 478 yards

  2. Denver Broncos – 470 yards

  3. Indianapolis Colts – 452 yards

  4. New York Giants – 438 yards

  5. New England Patriots – 431 yards

Passing Offense

  1. Dallas Cowboys – 336 yards

  2. New York Giants – 314 yards

  3. Denver Broncos – 299 yards

  4. New England Patriots – 297 yards

  5. Indianapolis Colts – 288 yards

Rushing Offense

  1. Tennessee Titans – 282 yards

  2. Pittsburgh Steelers – 206 yards

  3. Washington Redskins – 191 yards

  4. Carolina Panthers – 186 yards

  5. Denver Broncos – 171 yards

Total Defense

  1. Denver Broncos – 184 yards

  2. San Diego Chargers – 202 yards

  3. Philadelphia Eagles – 215 yards

  4. Houston Texans – 219 yards

  5. Pittsburgh Steelers – 221 yards

Passing Defense

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars – 68 yards

  2. Denver Broncos – 72 yards

  3. San Diego Chargers – 122 yards

  4. Houston Texans – 147 yards

  5. Cleveland Browns – 159 yards

Again, these mean next to nothing, but it’s still pretty cool to be ranked this high in so many categories through Week 1.
