On the eve of the NFL’s Free Agency Denver Broncos safety Quinton Carter was arrested and charged on felony charges of cheating at a Las Vegas casino craps game.
The young safety is being charged on three counts (each carrying a maximum of six years) police are alleging that he was adding money to his bets after the dice had been cast.
Carter was arrested Saturday night at Palace Station, he is also dealing with a charge for failure to complete counseling on a 2011 marijuana charge.
Earlier in March John Elway justified a lack of interest in free agent safeties by stating that Carter would be back in the rotation and that he had faith at him returning full strength. Carter was on injured reserve for all but three games in the 2012 season.
