Denver Broncos starting cornerback Tracy Porter has been listed as out for the game Monday night against the San Diego Chargers.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that Porter did not make the trip tonight to San Diego.

Porter is likely to be replaced at corner by Sophomore and last season’s All Undrafted Rookie Team member Chris Harris. Which will basically make Chargers’ tight end Antonio Gates the most feared man on San Diego’s offense for Denver.

If the Broncos opt not to go with Harris opposite Champ Bailey, Tony Carter will replace Porter and Harris will man his normal nickle package position.

Despite being too ill to travel, Porter did have his share of tweets today and yesterday in which he indicated that he’d just woke up from one of the best naps ever.

That flu is rotten. Hope the guys can get the stops made tomorrow.

It will definitely make the game more interesting…

Always surprised me there isn’t more players lost to the flu in football. Seems to be a common event in hockey.

I hate getting burnt by TEs, seems to be a pattern with this team over the past 5+ years.

I wish we held on to Drayton Florence. When the Chargers spread it out tonight, we could have used his talents

Decent loss but we’ll be fine. The thing that concerns me is if the staff moves Chris Harris off Gates/Meechum to play CB, then we might be in a jam. If the staff opts for Tony Carter to play CB, then I think we’ll be OK. TC played awesome against Julio Jones/Roddy White, so I have faith in him against the SD receivers. Worst case scenario…Joe Mays covers Gates. We’d be effed with a capital F.
