The plane has landed.

Peyton Manning, John Elway and the Denver Broncos are at Dove Valley as we speak. The Broncos will try to keep the greatest free agent in NFL history in Denver, away from the Arizona Cardinals, where he has reportedly scheduled another visit.

Local media swarmed Centennial airport. A few dozen fans and more media awaited their arrival at Dove Valley. ESPN aired helicopter footage over Broncos HQ.

Arrive they did. (See, there’s a grainy slideshow. And video).

It’s all a little nuts.

Will the Broncos insist they see Manning throw before hammering out a deal? Manning could easily hint that another team would be willing to sign him without having to see him work out. Manning might even be right. Would the Broncos do the right thing and insist he throw the route tree before throwing tens of millions of dollars at him?

One would hope so. We’ll soon find out.

Manning might be right that another team would sign him without seeing him throw.  However it is in Manning’s best interest to throw.

Agreed.  Really, it would be a form of due diligence for both parties.  With an investment of this magnitude it really would be the proper thing to do.

I agree but is it worth the risk that it might remove the Broncos from consideration?

look at it this way if we sign Peyton it will be the Broncos/Colts v2.0 Peyton signs and so do the dominos Saturday to replace Walton Clark, Addai and Bracket got released Tamme and Wayne are free agents every single player plays a position of need for the Broncos. Its rediculous how good we would be if we could just land Manning.

Manning has arrived in Denver. WHile leaving his plane he was heard shouting back to the pilot, “Go ahead and gas up, I won’t be here long.  I just need to strech my legs”.

The Manning PR machine is in full swing.  This guy is using the inexperienced ELway and others to do his bidding.  No way Manning is in an orange jersey. No way.

If Manning says NO to Denver, it doesn’t matter, Tebow has been slapped in the face by Elway…first with Luck, and now this.  It will never end.   Elway doesn’t want Tebow to break all his records-and he would, too.   TIM, JAX is calling!

First off Tebow throwing 46% completion is not breaking anyone’s records. Second Elway is a competitor he proved himself as a all time great quarterback. Now his drive is to be the best at his new position ,running a pro NFL team. Do you really think Elway wants to fail at running this team because he is worried someone might break his records ? If that’s the case he just goes back to selling cars and stays away from football. He didn’t done back to the Broncos because he is afraid he cane back because he feels he can help this team win still from the front office.
