Broncos sign 12 UDFAs

The front office may be new, but they’re not hesitating to take this new league year by storm.

According to TheDenverChannel.com, the Broncos have signed twelve undrafted free agents.

Already noted in a previous article is Auburn running back Mario Fannin.

The list is below.

  1. Brandon Bing, CB, Rutgers
  2. James Rogers, CB, Michigan
  3. Chris Harris, S, Kansas
  4. Mario Fannin, RB, Auburn
  5. Patrick Hill, FB, Miami
  6. Mark Dell, WR, Michigan St.
  7. Marshall Williams, WR, Wake Forest
  8. Colby Whitlock, DL, Texas Tech
  9. Nick Bellore, LB, Central Michigan
  10. Deron Mayo, LB, Old Dominion
  11. Bryant Browning, OG, Ohio State
  12. Curt Porter, OT, Jacksonville St.

It’s good to see the Broncos already raiding the available players on the undrafted free agent list, however, at some point in time they’ll need to address the defensive tackle position. Barry Cofield or Brandon Mebane please?

    Miami signed Pat Devlin.  I doubt that they would be taking him instead of Orton, but it's interesting.

    That doesn't really mean anything. Devlin is hardly a guaranteed future.

    Are you sure?  It is my understanding that free agents may negotiate, but can not sign until Friday, July 29th. Is it different for CFA's.  (UDFA)

    I am under the impression the UDFAs can sign immediately.

    With the shortened  preseason/precuts time frame, will UDFAs get a fair shake?  Does it it help or hurt Bronco UDFAs that there is a regime change and EVERYBODY (Champ may be the only exclusion) is being evaluated?

    1) No, they will not, and they will have to work really really hard.

    2) Hopefully it can only help at this point.
