SPEAK UP: Which QB should start the 2011 season?

Last week John Fox announced that Kyle Orton is currently the starter of the Denver Broncos. Unsurprisingly, the caused a bit of a shock to some fans of the Bronco nation. The majority of fans saw this announcement as a strategic move to up Orton’s stock for a future trade. However, some saw this as the clear and simple truth.

Regardless of the opinion, Denver fans are yet again dealing with an offseason of quarterback controversy (although thankfully this one is quite minor). What do you think Bronco fans? Who will start the 2011 season (if there is one)?

    I don't know why but I have a gut feeling that Denver is going to actually trade Tebow instead of Orton. If Denver can pick up a late first round pick for Tebow and draft a guy like Mallett I could see it happening. This would give the Broncos coaches another year with Orton as the starter and would do away with the Tebow fiasco. I could be way off base here but I just don't get the feeling that Tebow has much support from the organization. That and the fact that we will be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for Orton.

    Orton will never WIN games for you, he will just manage them and try not to lose them and let the defense do what it does, except he doesn’t have a Defense like he did in Chicago, we need someone who will take some chances until that Bronco Defense is back to glory days.

    People have faith in Tebow because he displays so much faith. It's not logical. It's not smart. But that's the way of people with faith.

    My husband and I followed Tim through his Florida Gators years..this young man is a great QB and the more games he gets to play in the better he is going to be..all football players start the same way..give this remarkable young football player a chance..he will do great things for the Broncos..he has a way of getting the whole team on board. Orton on the otherhand..just does not have what it takes to get the team to the super bowl.

    Completely right, Xanders admitted in an interview weeks ago that he had no idea Hillis was dealt until the deal was done, thanks McDick!! Marshall, really, Marshall? Were we going to give him $10mil a year? HEEELLLLSSSSS NOOOOO!!!! Come on, the guy is a parking ticket away from a suspension. Don't bring up that jerk, he was destined to leave town.

    It's gotta be Orton because he is the only seasoned quarterback on the roster. Fox is not going to go with Tebow at this point until he has confidence that he can run the team. I don't believe he has that confidence yet, and with the likelihood of a lockout and no OTA's and maybe no training camp, Fox would be nuts to just hand Tebow the job. Plus, he will focus on improving the running game and the pass rush, and overall defense which will help Orton be a better quarterback. Please get real.

    The same was said about Alexander the Great when his army which was outnumbered 5 to 1 charged King Darius and absolutely annihilated him.

    A quick glance through history will reveal the fact that there has never been a great leader full of “logic”. People with logic always work for the people with faith.

    Not saying Tebow is great by any stretch of the imagination. Just pointing out a fact of life.

    if you wanna win put tebow in, thats what he does best. Now if you want passing records but losses put orton in. now just like every other notre dame qb, brady quinn slid so far down to the browns years back for a reason!! he cant play in the nfl maybe cfl!
