Larry Johnson completes the dysfunctional AFC West trifecta with his homophobic tweets and slurs over the past few days. Now there’s talk of him being released, even though Johnson is less than 100 yards away from the Chiefs rushing franchise record. People forget, though, that it would take L.J. 3 years to reach that summit. Here’s some more linkage for your Tuesday:

  • Free agents after this season: Kyle Orton, Brandon Marshall, Elvis Dumervil, Chris Kuper, Ben Hamilton, and Tony Scheffler.  [Denver Post]
  • Spencer Larsen makes his triumphant return to practice.  [BroncoTalk]
  • Orton’s lack of interceptions continues to show why he’s so valuable.  [Colorado Springs Gazette]

  • The Ravens have dug themselves into quite a hole.  [Baltimore Sun]
  • Finally healthy, they’ll try to dig out of it.  [B.Sun]
  • First there was running back by committee.  Now teams hardly care to run it at all anymore.  [DPO]
  • Horvil likes the move at punter.  [Horvil Tiki]
  • Video: Michael Strahan talks about Elvis Dumervil‘s pursuit of his sack record.  [ESPN]
  • The Saints are threatening the Patriots season-points record set two years ago.  [DPO]
  • The Vince Young era begins in Tennessee… again.  [ProFootballTalk]

well its obvious that Kuper and Dumervil have to be the top resigning priorities this offseason. we can just franchise Marshall. Hamilton will be gone due to age and injury history plus im sure McDaniels will hand that spot to Seth Olsen next year. Scheffler needs to be kept also but isnt as high a priority as Kuper and Dumervil.

Uncapped year, baby! Sign em all to giant one year deals.

Marshall might actually murder someone if he gets franchised.
