As Katch22 mentioned in the comments to the last post, Defensive Coordinator Mike Nolan is most recently from the 49ers and may be looking back at that group for possible suggestions for upgrades this free agency season.

So, here is a look at the ESPN list of free agents from SF:

Billy Bajema TE
Tully Banta-Cain LB (Released)
Damane Duckett DT
Ronald Fields DT
DeShaun Foster RB
Roderick Green LB
Bryant Johnson WR
Keith Lewis FS (Released)
Jamie Martin QB
J.T. O’Sullivan QB
Allen Rossum CB
Sean Ryan TE
Takeo Spikes LB
Donald Strickland CB

What do you think about this crew? Anyone here strike your fancy? Any upgrades at our Defensive Positions?

No offense dee but i think the whole Albert idea is a bad idea.. sure hes a good player! but 100 million! is way to much to ask for. I mean the guy said he wanted it

Haynesworth doesn’t fit either. I mean, if we get him, it’s surely an upgrade from anything we have on our line, its just I really hope he keeps performing and doesn’t grow content after getting paid. I haven’t heard anything about it though, so please find that source dee! ;)

Anyone else heard anything? FA starts really soon. Some reliable Raven’s fans i know say Baltimore radio has been reporting all day that Bart and Ray are very close to being re-signed.

That leaves every guy i intially wanted us to really get gone besides Canty who is asking for too much(imo).

Cj …none take … I’m just forwarding something that I came across, Do I think it makes sense? Maybe. It depends on the price .. Haynesworth can say whatever he wants if theres no market for him , his price will come down …

I don’t think it makes sense at all personally. He’s never played in the 3-4 and isn’t the ideal fit for NT even though he probablyhas the size and strength. The 3-4 is also generally harder to gain stats in(mainly sacks), and I think Albert likes him some stats. Its hard to say, but I really don’t see the front office throwing a ton of money at him.

Spike’s is a great ILB still, he can complement DJ well and is great at stopping the run. DeShaun Foster could be a starting RB given the chance he is a great uphill runner with size he just hasnt gotten the opportunity. Outside of those to stay away Denver for your fan’s sake.
