Over the past two days, there has been positive injury reports coming out of Denver. Several Broncos have been returning to practice.
On Monday, safety Quinton Carter (hamstring), cornerback Tracy Porter (illness), rookie linebacker Danny Trevathan (ankle) and running back Ronnie Hillman (hamstring) were all back at practice. All four players have been competing for playing time—and in some cases, starting positions—in training camp and now the preseason.
Meanwhile, veteran linebacker Keith Brooking and safety Jim Leonhard are also on the mend. Leonhard was removed from the team’s physically unable to perform list on Tuesday and Brooking is expected to join him back on the practice field at the earliest sometime this week.
The Broncos are preparing for their Preseason Week 3 match-up against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, in which the starters are expected to get their most action of the preseason. Ultimately, the Broncos are hoping all of the players mentioned above are ready to go by Week 1 of the regular season, as are we.
