    One penalty for 15 yards.  Even that I saw as the right call, but not a stupid play.  If my LB is in the backfield on a running play, I expect him to do what he can to get a hand on the runner.  Sometimes that hand ends up on the face mask.

    I have always heard that a well coached and disciplined football team has fewer penalties.  Does anyone else believe that?  One game definitely does not make a pattern, but it could be a good sign.

    a trend in the right direction for sure, but in no way can i look at games one and two and say well coached and disciplined given the amount of penalties they committed.

    What bugs me the most is how flat and boring our offense is.  All we did was either run it up the middle and then through a screen or a swing pass.  We didn’t load up the big throw even once.  even if it went out of bounds…just to stretch out the defense.

    Healthy or unhealthy, we should be able to do a lot more than that.  And has anybody else noticed how often Orton’s passes are tipped or knocked down at the line? I counted 5 yesterday.  It’s quite ridiculous really.

    I can’t believe that’s surprising.  That’s a John Fox run team.  He makes Dan Reeves look like June Jones.

    I have been watching for 3 years and haven’t seen anything any different no matter who the coach has been.  I think the problem is when your QB cannot move and cannot pass more than 5 yards down the field, your game plan options are pretty limited.  It would also be nice to have a running back that could play in 2 or more consecutive games.
