Broncos release/waive Seven on Monday

The Broncos had until Tuesday to get their roster down to 80 players, they got a jump start on Monday.

Broncos tweetThe team has until 4 p.m. (MT) on September 3rd to get down the the final 53-man roster and 46 players will be allowed to dress on game days.  Press release after the jump. 

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos released cornerback Nate Jones and waived six other players, it was announced Monday.

Denver’s roster currently stands at 80 players. The Broncos must cut their roster to the regular-season limit of 53 players by 4 p.m. MDT on Sept. 3.

    I'm quite happy myself. There are also some good players out there that are going to (or have already been) cut that I hope the Broncos look into.

    I will personally miss his sitting 12 yards off his man when it's 3rd and 8…oh well, guess they will need to find another guy to give up short pass plays to.

    What is amazing to contemplate is that on Saturday evening, 864 men who were playing football this week, will be released. 

    Is there hidden gold?  Is there a future Bronco star among them?  Which of our 27 cuts will achieve stardom for another team?  Will there be any BIG surprises?  Dawkins?  Tebow?  Cox?

    The roulette wheel is about to spin…place your bets…
