The Broncos have agreed to terms with former first round selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars:Â Derrick Harvey. Â Another Defensive End standout from the University of Florida similar to 1st round blunder Jarvis Moss, the Broncos are hoping to resurrect the Gator’s career. Â Drawing equal comparisons across the two former Florida players might be unfair, Harvey did produce a little more for the Jaguars than Moss ever did with his time in Denver. Â Harvey racked up 8 sacks after being selected in 2008. Â Compare that to 3.5 sacks with an extra season thrown in for Moss.
However, the selection of Harvey still has to be seen as a huge disappointment for the Jaguars as a franchise.  A sentimate the Bronco front office knows all to well.  What may seem like taking a flyer on a guy that you don’t have to pay out that huge rookie contract for, Harvey could end up providing excellent depth at the position for a reasonable price.
