Every year we see players released due to performance not equaling pay grade. It’s time to take a look at those players with these susceptible salaries.

1. Renaldo Hill

Hill is due $2.4 million in 2011 and $2.65 million in 2012. Denver has David Bruton, Darcel McBath, Quinton Carter, and Rahim Moore all at the safety position. There is no way Hill makes this Denver team.

2. Andre Goodman

Goodman is coming off a mediocre year plagued with injuries. Denver is young at corner with Sydquan Thompson, Cassius Vaughn, and Perrish Cox (also in question). At the age of 33, the Broncos could be saying goodbye to Goodman to save themselves $3 million.

3. Perrish Cox

Cox’s contract isn’t too cumbersome, he won’t make more than $600,000 in any of the next three seasons (2011 – $405,000, 2012 – $490,000, 2013 – $575,000). However, after his serious legal troubles he may get cut regardless of any cap situation.

4. Nate Jones

Nate Jones consistently got burned last year. If there is one thing Jones has taught me is that he can tackle a receiver after he catches for the first down. Jones is slated to make $800,000 in 2011, which isn’t a huge amount, but he isn’t really effective.

5. Brian Dawkins

Brian Dawkins may be open to renegotiating his contract, but when that jar of crazy opens you never know how it’s going to end. There is one thing known for sure though, the Broncos will not keep Dawkins at his currently salary.
