Falcons’ Owner Blank expects deal to be done today

Over the course of the lockout fans have heard nearly everyday that a deal is imminent. Usually this story is spawned by a blurb from an ‘anonymous source’. This story is rearing it’s ugly head again, but this time the source is someone with great creditibility and who is also close to the situation, that source is Atlanta Falcon’s owner Arthur Blank. Blank’s quote can be found below.

“Yes, I think so” Blank told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution when asked if he felt the deal would get done today. “I’d be disappointed, like 330 million people in America, if it didn’t get done today.”

Regardless of the outcome of the meeting today, this statement form Blank is encouraging because 24 of the 32 owners must vote to approve the new deal.
