Listening to Fox speaking at the press conference, he keeps referring to the phrase “balance”. It's not a phrase that I heard often from Shanahan or from McDaniels. Clearly he's a defensive guy but that means that he knows how to build an offense that can anticipate defensive schemes. I think he, Elway, and Bowlen are on the same page which is great because there's a lot of experience (and success) in that trio.

Longtime Broncos P.R. honcho Jim Saccomano has a nice and optimistic piece at the team website (and its actually written under his name).
He makes the point that, like Red Miller in 1977, Fox may be the right guy for the rebuilding project.(and I agree). He knows his fundamentals, is doubtlessly aware that pas success was more a product of Strahan and Peppers/Jankins in their primeThat rebuilding wasn't as vast as most thought and Miller wasn't salddled with an over-hanging ego that was based on viewing himself as a revolutionizwer of the passing game (like the last two head coacvhes).

Sorry for the misspellings, but I can't read below the first few lines anymore (as the cursor no longer lets me scroll to the end). Basically, Miller and Fox were motivators more than innovators (and weren't unhappy admitting it). Its time the pendulum swung back to guys who lead naturally and don't have to fight battles to demand resect .
