This season for the Broncos, everything that could go wrong, has gone wrong.

  • Outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil has been cited for disturbing the peace and assault in connection with an incident that occurred during the October 24th game against Oakland. Dumervil was arraigned on Dec. 7 and has a Jan. 11 court date in Denver County Court. [Denver Post]
  • On Wednesday, Interim Head Coach Eric Studesville said the team has placed fullback Spencer Larsen on injured reserve, ending his season.  Since there are no other full backs on the roster, it is assumed tight end Daniel Coats will take over at the position.  [Broncos Zone]
  • If defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale is not retained, the Broncos will have employed six defensive coordinators in six years.  [Max Denver]

  • Receiver Demaryius Thomas (ankle) and safety Brian Dawkins (knee) both returned to practice on Wednesday, while running back Knowshon Moreno (ribs) and kicker Matt Prater (groin) were the only players not to participate.  [Broncos Official Twitter]
  • Houston Texans’ defensive end Antonio Smith says he doesn’t know if he’ll be allowed to hit Tebow on Sunday, seeing he’s a saint and all.  [Houston Chronicle]

    what is the reason that Wink may not be here next year? A new head coach?

    Wink hasn't come out and said anything. The D is good except for some missed big plays and null pass rush. Another year with Wink and this D can be one of the best INMO.

    Or he can go back to coaching linebackers.. This team will be shaken up and every position evaluated.. Only thing different from McD and the new coach is that they won't trade away all the talent left on the team.

    the reason he will not be retained is the D is the worst part of the team we have a few good players but other than that if you surrender the most points of any team and on a record to break the most points allowed in a season it is time to bring in someone who can make the nessicary adjustments when things start to go down hill in the game

    As far as the Dumerville incident is concerned, two things. 1. The security guard or whatever the hell he was should be bitch slapped. Filing charges, are you kidding me?? 2. Elvis, for God's sake, all you needed to do was to use your damn cell phone to call one of the coaches to come out and verify who you were.

    It's not really that complicated.
