The Denver Broncos have been assigned cornerback Chevis Jackson off of waivers.
Jackson became available on the 18th when he was waved by the New England Patriots.
Jackson is a third-year player with three career starts in 33 appearances. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round and has since played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Patriots. Jackson played college football at Louisiana State University where he graduated ranked second in school history in passes defensed.
To make room for Jackson on the roster Denver released linebacker Kevin Alexander.
