The Denver Broncos on Tuesday confirmed the promotion of practice squad running back Andre Brown to their active roster. Running back Lance Ball was waived, it was announced.

Brown (6-foot-0, 224 pounds) spent the first week of the regular season on Denver’s active roster before being waived and signed to its practice squad on Sept. 17.

The second-year player spent his rookie season with the New York Giants after he was selected by the club in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft from North Carolina State University.

I don't understand all the moves with running backs that have not played a single down in the regular season.

Going to be a tough week for Bronx, but really the best thing they can do is get back to work and get their heads focused on football. I would hate to have them go out there in Sunday and have their heads in the game… not because of winning of losing, but to protect against injury.

I think we can all excuse them if they lose this one, but someone could really get hurt if they are not focused. That will be the biggest challenge for McD and staff this week.

My heart goes out to the whole team…

I vote we sign Brock Lesner. I dont care if he isnt fast. I dont care if he cant run 80 yards. I just want to see someone who can make it past the line of scrimmage.
