The Denver Broncos will again tap into the veteran free agent market this week to address their injury-riddled running backs corps.
Former Oakland Raiders running back Justin Fargas is flying into Denver tonight to take a physical and finalize a deal with the Broncos, per multiple reports.
Fargas, 30, played in twelve games for the Raiders in 2009, starting four. He’s averaged under four yards per carry since 2007, his best year, where he rushed for 1,009 yards and averaged 4.5 ypc. In seven years in Oakland, Fargas (6-1, 220) totaled 3,369 yards for a 4.1 yard average and 10 touchdowns.
Fargas was released by the Raiders following the 2009 season and has been a free agent since.
