Live Blog: Josh McDaniels season-ending press conference

Denver Broncos Head Coach Josh McDaniels will hold his season-ending press conference at 1:30 p.m. MT today, and we’ll be bringing live commentary at Twitter.com/BroncoTalk.

In years past, this has been the Broncos coach’s last opportunity to address the state of the franchise in an official capacity for several months — don’t miss it!

    I hate the way Mcdaniel's constantly gets all the blame, I went through 10 years of garbage with Shanahan and still defended him for the Championships he brought my team.

    For those who dont believe McDaniels has the maturity to deal with players, think back to Shanahan … cutting Al Wilson after crippling him.

    The criminals he brought in to make us “contenders” ….. I can't believe after one year everyone has forgotten that.

    I want McD to get rid of the garbage left behind by Shanahan , he garbage draft picks, he garbage free agent signings, and his garbage trades.

    This is not going to be a contending team this year, many of you picked 2-3 wins , you're all pissed that you got a taste of winning and it was taken away.

    I still believe this is a better team than last year, now we must rid ourselves of the pretty existing garbage that remains from the Shanahan Era.

    For those pissed now, they'll be back on the bandwagon when the team wins next year …. 8 WINS after trading Cutler and cutting guys that ARE NO LONGER IN THE LEAGUE from Shanahan's years here!

    This team has been average team for 10 years (except 2005) …. and everyone thinks all of a sudden McD is to blame for its failures.

    I still trust McD and the direction of this team…. calm down… and watch the offseason closely, you gave Shanahan 10 years of average football and you won't give McD more than 1?

    For those who scream for Rex Ryan, I dont want a coach that doesn't even realize he's still in the playoff hunt ,and I dont want a coach that outweighs my NT.

    As a fanbase I've noticed over the past few years there has been a division much like the division in the locker room between the MCD and Shanahan Camps … it's now time to decide which side you fall on …

    Well said Dee!!! I want players that will put the team ahead of themselves! Once that is done the winning seasons, playoffs and championships will come!

    The fans nor the players (Shanahan's) are not used to the team first attitude. The players are used to getting everything their way. Under McD's watch that will not happen and I'm happy to see it.

    Those same pro bowlers couldnt save Shanahan's job ….and we didnt have 6 pro bowlers in one year when Shanahan was here from 2000 on…

    Anyone seen the video of Marshall in his farewell presser? The most hilarious part of it is when a player interrupts the presser, and has Marshall get out from in front of his locker then says “I appreciate it homeboy” the look on Marshall face is priceless…..

    See ya later homeboy, try not to get arrested in your travels.

    What garbage is left from Shanny? They cut most of the D from last year and it was that side of the ball that gave up 317 yards. New QB, new RBs outside of the O-line and Marshall most of what was playing on Offense were McD players.

    I think McDaniels deserves to coach out his contract, but stop with the Shanahan-McD division crap. The bottom line is good players, like Hillis and Scheffler, sat on the sideline all season in favor of McD players and improved defense folded like a tent in the biggest game of the season and gave up record yardage to a team with 3 wins. This AFTER the captains of the defense asked McD to bring the hammer down on the best player on the team. Oh and the other captain who asked McD to get tough, he threw 3 INTs. Two were returned for TDs.

    This is the Pros not effing college ball. Guys who preform on the field are leaders not rah-rah suck-ups to the coach. If you go after the best player, you had better back it up with a heck of a game. You better believe there's a division in the locker room. Has nothing to do with Shanahan.

    I'm not going to get into a back and fourth discussion, but rest assured anyone that falls on the wrong side of the divison will not be back next year.

    its funny to me that no one ever even mentioned how awesome our running offense was and is with Harris, and it also opens up the playbooy for passing. In fact we never lost a game with him and still McDaniels brings in Hockstein instead of trying to heal Harris, Harris is obviously a huge key! Whoever said Shanahan hurt Wilson and then chopped him is an idiot. Wilson obviously hasn't played since did you want him to keep paying him?

    Someone tell McDaniels that arrogance is earned with consistent wins on the field (more than 6 wins and then going 2 and 8.) He also acts as though he has Belichick’s head coaching resume. Sorry chump you are now a second year head coach with a divided locker room and very little fan support. If he keeps this up we will run him out of town. Honestly what quality free agents will be willing to come play for an arrogant, non-proven head coach that runs around motivating his players by cussing at them constantly? With the attitude he has and the reputation he is building in the NFL as a head coach, he better win or I’ll be getting my pizza delivered by this punk.
    Prediction: Denver will lose 2 of its leaders – Brian Dawkins and Champ Bailey, and obviously we will lose our star receiver Brandon Marshall.
    At that point Denver fans, find your brown paper bags because your gonna need them.
    Solution: Pat pull your head out of your arse, fire McDaniels, hire Cowher and win us a championship.
