BTW (or more FYI)…the link titled “This Philly paper digs up some ugly statistics on Knowshon Moreno. [The Philadelphia Inquirer]” is actually an article written by Denver Post writer Woody Paige.

Good point, didn't see that in the footer while I was compiling. Glad he can troll us from other newspapers now, lol.

Meh. I've never put much stock in what that man has to say anyway. This was the guy that predicted the Broncos would win no more than three games all year. Yes, the stats he pulled are accurate, and yes, Moreno's performance is less than impressive when you break it down that way. But, when you have to go digging up stats on someone who is still a rookie, still adjusting to the NFL mindset all to further your point on how much you think the team is lacking; you're scraping the bottom of the barrel in my opinion.

What is great is how he worded Moreno's fail rate of 22% no yards or loss of yards. That is actually fairly low among NFL running backs. The truth is that Moreno's success rate is 51% which ties him for 10th in the NFL and way ahead of some very notable backs.

    C. Johnson 43%
    S. Jackson 45%
    R. Rice 49%
    D. Williams 45%
    M. Turner 49%
    A. Peterson 43%

Wood Paige is the ultimate spin doctor and this was nothing short of pathetic.
