Film Room: Chargers expect to rise to the occasion

“This is the kind of game that they win,” San Diego Union Tribune columnist Nick Canepa said of the Chargers.

“We saw last year, every time they were in a situation like this except for one, against the Colts, they came out and smoked the other team,” staff writer Jay Posner said.

Meanwhile, LB Shawne Merriman promises “people will see a difference” Monday after the Chargers’ bye.

The city of San Diego – players, fans, columnists alike – are coming into this game confident. For the Broncos, this is the annual toughest game of the year. But talk is cheap; nothing would make us happier than to see the Broncos shut them up.

    wow that ws painful to watch. a bunch of mumbling, bumbling, stuttering morons write for the Chargers. and whats up with Turkey neck?? i really REALLY hope we win by about 20.

    Wow. What a bunch of douches. The ONLY facet of this game that I am affraid of is the Secondary Defense. Yes, I know we have Champ and Weapon-X, but Rivers can sling it, and those WR's are tall. However, if the front 7 can get pressure on Phyllus, then I see Denver winning this game. SP must also help contain Sproles.

    These guy don't know jack about football! I spent the day there today and where was all the charger gear.I saw more people wearing bronco gear and was at in the gaslamp and seaport village. I was rocking my Royal jersey and met some bronco fans at the harbor house.
