BroncoTalk Fantasy Alpha League Fantasy Draft Results

On Tuesday evening, the BroncoTalk Alpha League conducted its LIVE draft! Only one player couldn’t make the entire draft, though a couple of players bounced around a bit and ended up with some auto picking. Nonetheless, the draft went off very well. My initial thoughts are that the skill of the drafters clearly varied amongst our crew, and I think the league is going to be somewhat skewed with 3 or 4 powerhouse teams and a bunch of mediocre teams. So pretty much like the NFL. Of course, the NFL being what it is, the real skill will come out in weeks 3-10 during bye weeks, when the free agency gaming starts. A great draft is important, but good free agency can cover a lot of errors. Or unfortunate injuries. I mean, I did draft Tom Brady in two different leagues last year. Oops.

Join in the smack talk! Also, I will casually note that ESPN really loves my team. Actually more than I do. I don’t know why it’s projecting me so well, I think it’s expecting a bit much from some of the players, but maybe they know something I don’t.
