BroncoTalk is Going to Training Camp! Are You?

Tomorrow, yours truly embarks on a 12-hour drive to God’s country: Englewood, Colorado and the site of the 2009 Denver Broncos training camp! I’ll be covering every practice through next week, and other staff members will be dropping in from time to time as well. What’s more, the Broncos have been kind enough to give BT press credentials – we’ll have access to everything the media sees behind-the-scenes. Epic win!

We’d like to open up the comments of this post to talk about any planned visits to camp (we’d love to meet every one of you!), and also any requests for information you want from training camp. My main focus will be scouting the players and coaches, telling you who’s hot and who’s not, breaking down depth charts, and breaking the latest on players news. I’m also hashing something out to make video updates possible, so stay tuned for that. Any specific requests or ideas for updates? – Post them here!

Also, if you’re not already doing so, you’ll definitely want to be following BroncoTalk on Twitter and Facebook. I’ll be staying connected via mobile whenever possible and will post updates and pics to those services often.

I don’t believe it’s possible to convey my excitement in writing – I was born in Colorado and haven’t been back in over 6 years, and I’ve never visited any official Broncos facilities (not even the stadium, let alone HQ). I can’t wait to get there and begin covering the world’s best sports team in person! This should be a real treat for me personally; hopefully one for you all as well.

    I work a few blocks from Dove Valley so I’ll def make a few days of camp. Hopefully I’ll be there Friday if my work load allows it.

    I’m surprised you have never been to any of the facilities. Too bad, the old mile high was magical, Invesco isn’t the same, but kick ass nonetheless. Enjoy CO my friend. And if you can save up go to a game this year, I will be going to the NE game and San Diego, maybe Dallas and Raiders games. Hope you have a great time with the press passes, ya bastid (peter grifin) hahahhahahahaha.

    I’m working some things out to go to a couple home games this season, including the Thanksgiving game; I’ll definitely post about it on the site if and when I have more details.

    If you do work it out to post video, I’d like to see film of the offense running some plays with Orton at the controls. I am truly envious of you kyle, I wanted to get up there this year, but school is starting earlier than I had hoped. Oh well, have fun!

    I’m going to be there for a few days this weedend! You should scope out the Defense. Look at players like Elvis and Jarvis and see how they are doing in the new hybrid. Maybe also get a few pictures for some more creat-a-captions.

    Congrats on being able to attend, and scoring the press pass!! I must say that I am jealous, as I only make it back to CO every couple of years, and have not been to any Broncos function since Elway led a comeback against the Chiefs in 93 (that was the only one ever, in fact). That said, I can’t wait to be there vicariously through your experience.

    Since you are offering, kindly I might add, to scope out players for us there are a couple that I am interested in. The rookies Rulon Davis, and Moreno as well as Andra Davis intrest me. I think all three could make huge contributions to our team this year.

    Congrats… having BT there is the next best thing to being there in person. I am interested in every single rookie (drafted and undrafted). Baker, lee robinson, moreno, smith, darcel, ayers & co.
    Also any info on hillis (he is the man and im curious about his role this year) and carlton powell (will he contribute at all this year?). Looking forward to the coming week…

    Every year I click my heals together and hope a tornado picks me up and drops me at dove valley. This is even less likely since there are rarely any tornados in so-cal. Congrats on the press pass, use it wisely and get me some good info on the defensive system.
