Now as the sun rotates and the team gets bigger, word on the street is that the Denver Broncos are continuing their full-on kamikaze assault at the NFL’s Free Agency, by signing former Cleveland Browns inside linebacker Andra Davis.

Continuing with the trend, it seems as if everyone that has visited Denver has signed. There are reports that thus far, everyone who has come to visit the Broncos has already signed an offer sheet.

The signing of Davis solidifies a gap that was left when the Broncos chose not to resign free agent Nate Webster. It also cools the bring Ray Lewis to Denver campaign.

In other free agent news, the Broncos have also expressed interest in Miami Dolphins cornerback Andre Goodman, who could be signed by the end of the day. There’s also the announcement that the Broncos have added defensive tackle Darrell Reid (formerly of the Indianapolis Colts) to a reported $6.8 million over three-years. Reid was a special teamer for the most part, but did fill in as a fullback during goal line situations for the Colts.

Davis did not have the best performance in 2008, but he is a solid guy and has had great seasons and really great games (20 tackles against Green Bay in 2005). I don’t know that he’s better than Webster though… What do you think Nation?

    Denver signs free agent safety Brian Dawkins to a five-year, $17 million deal that includes $7.2 million guaranteed. The contract also has escalators that could boost the value of the deal to $27 million over five years, but the deal also could be voided to two years, $9 million.

    I like this more than Ray Lewis. I honestly don’t see Ray anywhere other than Baltimore. I like the pick up instead of the wait. We are going to have a funky D.

    I dont mind this pick up. I do think he is an upgrade from webster. Not a huge upgrade but he is a year younger and is bigger. He will be more of a presence in the middle.

    I’m not certian the andra addition would cool rumors of ray as we need a second starting mlb. Unless DJ is moving back to the middle.

    I really like this addition and I think that this shows that we want to draft a nose guard in the draft. so expect the likeliness of b.j raji with the first pick to go up.

    The denver broncos is in need of a NT,CB and another linebacker. If it was up to me…I would would pursue either Andre Goodman(dolphins) or Ron Bartell(Rams)…knowing that Bartell would be more expensive, we still would come out good with Goodman…..then the secondary would consist of the one and only “Champ Bailey”,Goodman(CB),Dawkins(FS), and Renaldo Hill(SS)…thats a hell of a secondary.For the Nt………my main goal would be to sign Igor Olshansky(Chargers) to plug up the middle….he has experience in the 3-4 and he’s a very good player…if I couldnt get him I would pursue Raji(Boston College) in the draft….our LB corps will be phenomenal…..DJ,Boss,Andra Davis and possibly Maualuga(USC) or Reid(Colts)……OUR DEFENSE SHOULD BE IN THE TOP 5 FOR THE 2009-10 SEASON. Offense will be no.1 followed closely by the New England Patriots due to the fact Tom Brady will be back next season.I predict the broncos will win the AFC West…..the Afc Championship game will be the Broncos vs. Steelers……..Super Bowl XLIV……NEW YORK GIANTS VS. DENVER BRONCOS…….EASY WIN FOR US!!GO DENVER

    Yes, Jason, you’re right, my thinking is that with Dumerville and Moss expected to step outside and with Boss already there, Williams would probably be moving back to middle. At least that’s what I’d do, but who knows.

    if denver tried to even contemptlate tradfing cutler josh mcdaniels could go jump off a god dang cliff and shoot himself cutler is one of the top qb’s in the league if they dont like why did you take the job

    Broncos staff was NOT involved in the trade taks. It was KC, NE, and TB. Denver’s involvement was due to Josh being the coach and would he want Cassell and move Jay to KC? DA NO Then would he do the same to TB? DA NO

    McDaniels and Xanders are dicks if they even considered moving Jay. X anders said they never considered it and said to ask McDaniels and he’d say the same thing. When they asked McDaniels he had no comment. What a gutless prick. This isn’t New England stop bringing all these people we don’t need. A number four receiver in Gaffney we don’t need him at all. A long snapper for christ sake getting paid a rediculous amount to do one thing. You want to spend 5.5 mil for someone to do one job go get a decent kicker that can make extra points and 25 yrd field goals and make it to the endzone in the thin air on kickoffs. Why wouldn’t jay beleive the talk though its New England and our coach is trying to bring in anyone he can from where he came from. Anyway the dawkins signing was good, still think ray would have been way better than davis. Atleast he anchored a great defense for years and knows how to be a leader. Despite the negativity I love the Broncos I’m just not a homer I have my own opinions. Agree or disagree with them?

    YES,WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A STIFLING DEFENSE….BUT….THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CUTLER AND MCDANIELS IS STARTING TO GET UGLY….JAY FEELS AS IF THE BRONCOS AREN’T TRUSTWORTHY…..DON’T BE SURPRISED IF HE ENDS UP ON THE MARKET. MAYBE A DONOVAN MCNABB FOR CUTLER TRADE….ITS OBVIOUS THAT MCNABB ISNT HAPPY WITH WHATS GOING ON IN PHILLY DUE TO THE FACT THEY HAVE RELEASED DAWKINS AND A COUPLE OF OTHER BIG NAME PLAYERS.CUTLER ISNT HAPPY WITH THE BRONCOS ORGANIZATION BECAUSE OF THE RECENT TRADE TALKS….DONT BE SURPRISED!!
