Will WR Jabar Gaffney & S Renaldo Hill be next?

Rumors are flying that Dove Valley is looking to sign WR Jabar Gaffney and S Renaldo Hill. Could we see deals today? It’s possible…

Wide out Jabar Gaffney was a useful cog in McDaniel’s passing game for the Pats. As a 4th reciever he had total of 74 catches for 917 yards (that’s over 12 yards per carry) and 7 TDs during 2008 and 2007 together.

Safety Renaldo Hill finished third on the team in tackles with 77 (62 solo) and 3 INTs. Renaldo is 30, so age is a factor, but if we can draft a young guy to go with him (and learn under him this year), we should be better off for it.

I will say it again, if the price is right these rumored moves and those of Buckhalter and Arrington make good business sense. Let’s get some reasonably priced guys into our lockroom where they can compete for a spot on the final roster. It doesn’t hurt us to get depth for camp and it can only help us if one of these guys turns into a real player when they get a chance.

    CBS4Denver is reporting that the broncos may be in the Ray ” I kill people” Lewis sweepstakes …. Dawkins and Lewis could be very good leaders on the defensive side of the ball to pair with our young defense

    Imagine if we get Dawkins AND Lewis…granted they are both a little old but would provide much needed leadership for the defense…

    Lonie Paxton a long snapper from NE was just signed. Ahhhh I thought Leach was one of the best around??? So now we have two? I’m confused.

    I think Ray is going to be too expensive folks… The trend so far has been to get good value at moderate pricing. I’m all for Ray if they can work out a preformance-based contract, but I’m 100% against his signing if we have to pay a lot of money for a guy that is well past the mid-point of his career.

    Dawkins, COME TO DENVER!!!!

    I hope we land Gaffney too, he’s a solid reciever and knows McDaniels’ system.

    Bring in Hill and Dawkins and our saftey problem is fixed.

    As for some other teams news that may interest some of us-

    Mike Vrabel was traded to the Chiefs according NFL network, terms not known yet.

    Chris Canty is visiting with the Titans today, and will probably be locked up since they have all that cap they cleared in hopes re-signing Haynesworth.

    Kellen Winslow has been traded to the Bucs out of no where for undisclosed picks. This shows how quietly an organization can pull of a move, maybe Denver’s working on something.

    Jets signed Scott, and Skins over pay the heck out of Haynesworth.
