Dear Josh McDaniels,

As you may know the sad looking man to the right is the extremely talented quarterback in Denver named Jay Cutler. Don’t let his sad face fool you, this 25 year old has an arm to be reckoned with and you should just see him fit the ball into tight spots. This QB is a leader, who is willing to take the whole game on his shoulders run game or not.

In 2008 he threw the ball 616 times on the year and completed 62.3% of them for 4,526 yards. Now you see there is a problem… he kind of likes to you know… turn the ball over… a lot. What I mean by a lot is 18 times. I saw that you took this kid who hadn’t started since high school and had him put up some pretty solid stats and going 10-5 as a starter. I know he threw the ball exactly 100 less times than Cutler but he did throw only 11 INTs and scored only 4 less TDs.

Basically what I’m saying is… please teach this gun slinging prodigy the ways of proper footwork and the checkdown. Also if you could bond with him and become best friends with him sort of like the whole Shanahan-Elway thing that would be awesome too. I mean no pressure! With all that being said I can not wait to see what you do with the staff as well as the draft. I hope to see you at training camp, making my spine tingle with your authority.

Sincerely,

Mr. East

Okay okay, I’ll put all the facetious remarks aside. If McDaniel’s history means anything then Jay Cutler has something amazing to look forward to in the 2009 season. It is hard not to resist the temptation to compare Matt Cassel and Jay Cutler now that this 32-year-old offensive genius is at the helm.

Matt Cassel

Comp Att Pct Att/G Yds Avg Yds/G TD INT 1st 1st% Lng 20+ 40+ Sck Rate
327 516 63.4 32.2 3,693 7.2 230.8 21 11 182 35.3 76T 37 6 47 89.4

Jay Cutler

Comp Att Pct Att/G Yds Avg Yds/G TD INT 1st 1st% Lng 20+ 40+ Sck Rate
384 616 62.3 38.5 4,526 7.3 232.9 25 18 222 36.0 93T 55 7 11 86.0

Say what you want but the fact is that McDaniels was very successful with Cassel who is considered to be less talented than Cutler. Cassel kept close to or was better than Cutler’s statistics on many areas, especially ones that count such as TDs, INTs, Pct, and Rate. Yes, Cassel had the 6th ranked run offense on his side, but McDaniels also ran that. The bottom line is Cassel was on of the top quarterbacks of the season due to McDaniels.

If history is a factor in anything then it bodes well for Cutler. In my opinion it is not history but talent that makes McDaniels the “wunderkind” he is.

Denver fans, will McDaniels elevate Cutler’s performance? Will he put Cutler in the same sentence as Tom Brady? Let it fly.

  • Danish Denver-fan!

Yes, he will, in my oppinion, certainly have a positive influence on the franchise’s biggest asset. And i don’t think it takes THAT much to elevate Cutler to Brady’s level.

Cutler has at least equal reciever-talent, better O-line, and potential for a dominant rushing attact. Redzone ineffeciency and turnovers are the only thing holding this O back…

  • http://search-this.com mark

I needn’t remind that offense is not our problem, right?
Let’s lost hope Cutler doesn’t emotionally break down with the loss of Jeremy Bates….

  • http://BroncoTalk.net East

Mark – The offense isn’t as great as you think. Who cares if the offense can gain yards if they can’t score points.

  • dazbroncos

My concern is this…. ( and im being a 1/2 empty kind of guy here….).. devils advocate even…

So Shanny has this year off and goes to Dallas next year.

JC has already lost his HC and now might lose his play caller. He could lose the marbles about this if it is not handled well – and im not saying it wont be –

If Dennison goes as well and CAsey doesnt get resigned, that is a lot of change.
Now, if we have a ….. “learning and development year”… bc of al the changes, then JC may very well want to reunite with Shanny in Dallas at the end of Shanny first yr as HC when JC is a RFA.

Im not trying to blow it all up but point out that the way this is handled over the next few weeks with coaches, systems and players could very well effect the next 3 years a whole lot.

I’d luv nothing more than to see JC and Mcdaniels embrace each other the way Shanny and Elway did and move forward together building on what Shanny has left behind.
I honestly believe that we are not far off with a healthy season and a few FA additions ( ILB, S, DT) and perhaps NNandi ( bc I can !!)

    Go Broncos!

  • MIAbronco

i think (and what do i know) that cutler needs less of a buddy and more of a coach, because it seems like jay may need a more stern approach. in mcd’s system cutler should enjoy lots of success, because in new england the system relied on high pocket mobility and savvy, a strong arm, and the ability to check down to the ubderneath routes almost like an extended run play, all things that jay posses’.

also in new england they pass to set up the run which is perfect for us because it will make mediocre running backs (not saying that our backs our mediocre because Hillis will be scary in this offense, similar to a kevin faulk but much better) perform much better.

finally, cutler has to realize that the nfl is a business and that if your not successful you will be replaced, and i for one am optimistic about the future of this “team”, not just the offense

  • Jordan C

On the contrary, I think that Cutler doesn’t need a stern approach as much as he needs someone to take the pressure off of him. Did you once, last season, see him smile? My theory is that one of the reasons that he threw so may interceptions was because he felt so much pressure to carry the team that he made those poor decisions. McDaniel’s plan doesn’t seem like that will change much. Hopefully McD can get him to relax.

  • adam

I agree with East, they moved the ball a lot and scored a little, big deal! That said, certainly the story line would have been different if Hillis would have stayed healthy.

  • http://broncomadness.com Garrett Barnes

i would rather compare cutler and brady. but hey whatever works.

  • pwsbronco

We just have to wait and see what will happen. Jay is a big boy and he knows that this is a business, he is football tough and he is a leader. He is just young, he has only two full years at the helm, and he has not had a solid dependable running game since he has been here. Solve the running game problem and give Jay a little help so he doesn’t have to throw 40 passes a game and is not playing in a one dimensional offense, then Jay will do very well.
Very yound team with a very good offensive all around. Lots of holes to plug in the defense and special teams but we are now with the hope that these problems will now be on the mend.
The D could take some time but with a few small tweaks on the offense or large tweak if we are talking a dependable running game and we are there as a high SCORING Offense. If the D just goes to 20th on the D scale and special teams gets a bit more consistant then what a year for 2009………….

No worries, No panic …… the Broncos are going to be just fine, Change is always scary because of the unknown, but looking at it as the glass is half full….. We have a great future in store for us once again, and if not we will know very quickly. And we would be no worse off than the past few years……. Kick Butt Bronco’s…….

  • dee

Cutler needs to man up and see that everything is not about him… in all honesty he was one of the reasons Shannahan couldn’t keep his promise of the playoffs this year with all of Cutlers bad ints at the wrong time. Don’t get me wrong I love Cutler but sometimes it annoys me how much of a prick he can be… he needs to see the TEAM is bigger than him and his feelings …. He needs to get to work with McDaniels and become a great quarterback … we can diss Rivers all we want but in December and in the playoffs he has delivered and last time I checked he didnt blame his defense for losing against Pittsburgh. Cutler stop crying about your BFF Bates leaving and learn that we can all be better off with McDaniels and new blood. I think Cutler will come around once our defense is consistent and he see’s the direction that Mickey D’s wants to take this team.

  • dee

PS Draft 9 defensive players will all of the draft picks we have ….

    Go Broncos

  • dee

On a side note … I just signed Cassell to a free agent contract in Madden 09 … he’s cutler’s back up. McDaniels is the coach , however Mike Nolan wouldn’t sign as the D-Cord … so I got DICK LEBEAU! I also kept Shanny after firing him as the head coach as the Offensive Cord.

  • pwsbronco

I wouldn’t go as far as using Rivers as an example of a QB in the clutch. SD has a better running game and defense than the Broncos have had in years. Rivers still didn’t get it done. 8-8 and out of the playoffs. I don’t want to get to the playoffs I want to win them and the big one. SD got killed also.
I can only wonder how good Jay and the Bronco’s would have been this year with SD’s running backs and their defense. Even though their defense couldn’t protect the pass much better than ours overall it was much better than ours.
So, once again, if we just fix our d a little bit along with special teams and just give Jay a running back that can go at least half of the season we will be much much better….. we are still a ways from SB champs….

  • pwsbronco

One thing for sure, we are going to see a few things right away. 1) how much the lack of a dependable running back hurt us
    2) on whether our offensive play calls were all that hot to begin with. Jay can only work with what is given him, and we will really be able to compare next year on how much of a factor the play calling has been. I do believe we all already know that answer
    3) I also beleive Josh is going to utilize some of our very much unused weopons ” Tight Ends ” and this is going to free up Marshell, Royal and company …. We had many weopons that we did not use so we will see if if was just Jay or the play calling…..
Jay being young will make his silly mistakes but those can be coached…. but a lack of play calling and leadership from the coaching staff at all levels cannot, unless you make a change….. So we will all see next year…so lets take a deep breath and hope and cheer for sunnier days…..

  • Kawike

F.Y.I. Bill Williamson is reporting that the broncos may hire mike priefer as special teams coach.

  • Dakota fan

Kawike: apparently I don’t keep track of NFL personnel like I should, because I have one question:

WHO THE HELL IS MIKE PRIEFER?

A little help for a poor country boy, please.

  • T-Money

For some reason I just got really pumped up for next year. I have the cont down timer going. All of the negativity that I’ve been reading only fuels me. I can’t wait. There is nothing that we can do other that speculate and all I read (in the comments) is negative thoughts. On 2 and a half more months till the draft, 5 and a half until training camp, and roughly a month after that until these boys take the field again. How exciting is that?

  • jchase8410

J McD has made it clear that he is Al about winning, and playing tough. He also said the every player and coach is going to be held accountable for their “piece of the puzzle” I really like that attitude. As far as Jay Cutler, I think those people who complain about his INTs should probably understand that if you throw the ball 600+ times in a season, it is going to happen. If your offense is 1 dimentional, the defense key on that, and more often than not you aren’t going to be successful. Jay has been more than successful, despite all these things. We need toall sit back and see if with all the tools he needs to be a top tier QB he still makes the same mistakes. Right now, as far as Jay is concerned, we ace ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to complain about.

    Dee-
I haven’t seen, or read, anywhere that Jay way crying about anything. He was shocked to hear the news of Shanny being fired (as were we all) and spoke out. Give the kid a break, the only NFL coach he had ever played for had just been fired. Was he supposed to be happy about that? Jay will be just fine, as Bowlen said, “Jay understands the business…”

We all need to give them a chance to meet and talk about the future of the Broncos, and I’m sure Jay will be more than satisfied.

  • jchase8410

Also, for everyone saying, “I can’t believe Jay would tell at his recievers!” SHUT UP!!! When a QB throws good balls, and his recurvera drop them and his team doesn’t concert first downs, how is he supposed to act? I would be pissed too. Is he supposed to give the gay “its okay guys, we’ll get ’em next time” routine? Give me a break. These guys are paid millions to catch a ball, and if they can’t then they deserve to be yelled at. You guys make me sick. I’m not one of those guys who thinks that Cutler is the best thing since sliced bread, but I cut the kid a break when it is deserved. He has more on his shoulders than any other QB in the league, save D-Nabbs who has a pretty damn good defense and running game might I add. All I’m saying is that Jay did much more than I expected of him given the circumstances in which he was put.

  • Royal19fan

JC wouldn’t have to thread the needle so much if our deffense could stop someone once in a while! Seriously, I think he makes some of those ill advised throws because he knows that every down is do or die with this team because the second our D gets out there…. its die or die.

  • jchase8410

Wow, that was all sketchy…*yell at his receivers* *his receivers drop them and don’t convert first downs*

  • Roy

The defense has nothing to do with JC trying to fit the ball where it does not belong. He still thinks he is going against college DB’s and that they are not going to jump on a ball. His refusal to check down to recievers that are open under the coverage has cost us not just first downs, but possesions and momentum. This has been my biggest gripe about JC since he became our starter. Hopefully McD can calm him down and he can utilize all of his recievers when they are OPEN.

I agree too that recievers need to stop dropping balls, but there is also the arguement that if they are open, Jay does not need to try to break their hands with his throw. It is ok to take a little off when your reciever is open. THAT would help tremendously to reduce the amount of dropped balls. Have you ever tryed to catch a hard thrown ball from a “laser-rocket arm” when it is 28 degrees outside? I don’t care if you are wearing gloves or not, you swear you just had every little bone in your fingers shattered. Take some heat off. It’s ok. I promise.

Here is something no one has mentioned (I think). To keep from drafting a RB, do we try to pick up whoever is let go by the Giants? Or Sproles (we should be so lucky) or LT from SD?

  • pwsbronco

Jay just needs a running back to take some heat off of him and make the defense honest. He will be and do just fine. LT, why would we spend money on LT when he has not played in the playoffs the past 3 years do to injuries. He has taken a beating in all his years and I feel that his days will now be declining. With Hillis and Torain coming back, Sproles would be a good take. But that is just my opinion, and that is why I am not coach. Because it don’t matter what I or anybody thinks. Josh will do what is best for this team when they figure out how all the pieces fit in his plans….. Go Bronco’s….

  • Roy

Don’t get me wrong, I think LT was good a couple of years ago, but I do not think that we should pick him up. I was just throwing it out there.

  • David Kircus Made My Tuna Melt Sub

This Article was honest and in your face. Exactly what Bronco fans need as a wake up call with regard to the realities of Jay Cutler.

14 red zone interceptions is unacceptable.

  • MIAbronco

i hate to say it guys because everyone appears to believe that torain is the second coming, but he will probably be cut by mcd in the offseason.

  • MIAbronco

oh and I forgot to say that torain is overated and addicted to injury

  • kerry

what the hell is the matter with everyone?? Ryan Torain is NOT the answer. neither is Darren Sproles, who we dont even have so why are we talking about him anyway. and Torain DEFINETLY isnt the answer should the zone blocking scheme be scrapped. half of a game Ryan Torain played in and everyone thinks he is the answer??!! PPFFFTTTT!!! EVERY scout in the NFL said Torain was an injury waiting to happen, and what happened? boom! injury, he comes back and what happens?? boom another injury! are we seeing a pattern here? if ANYONE on this team is ready to carry the load fulltime it is Peyton Hillis. 250 pound RB is what is needed. someone who can take stress off Cutler. that is Hillis, a guy who can run with power AND catch AND Block. or the draft is where a RB should be taken. the first round OBVIOULSY should be used on defense. but the second round should be used on either Shonn Greene out of Iowa, or Lesean McCoy out of Pitt (who has declared)

  • http://BroncoTalk.net East

Agreed kerry Torian may be good but he actually has to be healthy to play. Shonn Green, he’s a one year wonder and an injury waiting to happen.

On the other hand Peyton Hillis is amazing, he is like a mixture between Fergie and Jesus. Josh McDaniels’ system is all about guys like Hillis. If FBs Kevin Faulk and Patrick Pass could catch for over 100 yards in games imagine what Hillis can do.

  • JP

Give me a break!!!! Cutler is fine..Dont mess with his footwork or anything for that matter. Get him a running game and that alone will cut down on the INT’s. It will also alleviate some of the scoring issues. I like Hillis…I think Hillis has “IT”, the natural ability of a great RB. When he hit his stride this year the offense looked completely different…they looked unstoppable….even PJ Pope made the offense look good in his brief time. They have to establish a threat at tailback…Cutler was basically asked to force everything..he had to…it was our only chance….GIVE THE GUY A BREAK…He didnt make the ProBowl because he sucks you know…Chill out

  • broncoNM

Cutler is going to be fine. McD is only going to make this guy better which should make every defense really concerned. Of coarse cutler was shocked and upset about the shanny firing. Shanny drafted him. We all know cutler is candid about his statements. By training camp this will be a non issue. The guy shows emotion and is competative. Thats exactly what you what from your leader. McD will show him how to check down more because the play calling will allow for it. I refuse to beleive that cassel was a hidden gem. McD creates plays that are very quarterback friendly which is what he said about this system. He will be able to drop the ball off on dump passes which will serve as an extended run for good gains. This will also allow his deep threat to be more accessible. Defenses will not be able to sit back and read him like they did this past year. This offense is going to be a dynamic offense and thats why i was ok with this hire from the get go. It makes sense that he had alot of red zone ints. If you shorten the field with no running game then it is really easy for the defense to react to the ball. I was always a fan of shanny and have nothing bad to say about him but the play calling was getting stale. In my opinion we have all the peices in place to make a great transition. Royal, Stokely, and Marshall will obviously be fine and guys like hillis/Scheffler/Graham will still get the ball and will have alot of opportunities. This coaching change could and should make cutler one of the top 3 QBs in the NFL. Cutler will quickly realize this and shanny will be a thing of the past.

  • http://BroncoTalk.net East

    JP –

Cutler is not just fine. No QB in their 3rd year is just fine, no matter who you are. Of course a running game will make a quarterback look better thats like saying the TV works better when it’s on. No one is saying Cutler sucks, he just needs to minimize his mistakes, I think even Cutler agrees himself on that. Just because somebody makes the Pro Bowl doesn’t mean they are the best, many of the best players get snubbed like Ryan Clady.

    broncoNM –

Exactly. Cutler is going to fit very well in the offense. I can tell by his statements already that Brandon Marshall is very happy with the Josh McDaniels hiring because he knows he’s the Randy Moss in the system. Eddie Royal will get a lot balls too if he gets treated like the Wes Welker.

  • kerry

    BroncoNM:

    thats funny when you say:

“Shanny will be a thing of the past”

look at the site you are saying that on. lol. Shanny will never be a thing of the past. because all you will ever hear is “Shanny would have done this ” or “Shanny would have done that” if we win 10 games next year everybody will scream “BUT SHANNY WOULD HAVE WON 11 GAMES”

seriously McDaniels better win the SB this year or we will hear all about how Shanahan would have won 13 games and won the SB this year. actually even if McDaniels coached this team to an undefeated season and a SB win, the Shannyites would just scream “BUT SHANAHAN WON 2 SB’S AND WENT TO THE AFC TITLE GAME IN 05 AND HAS ONLY 2 LOSING SEASON IN 14 YEARS AND HAS NEVER HAD A TOP 10 DRAFT PICK”.

Shanahan wont ever be a thing of the past. im sure some even have shrines dedicated to the so-called “Mastermind” yeah mastermind of the Mediocre season.

  • broncoNM

    Kerry-
Ya because of the surprising exit of shanny i think McD has some undeserved pressure and criticism ahead of him. Especially if we get off to a slow start which could happen with our tough schedule next year. I was a shanny supporter but i will give you credit after seeing all this go down i couldnt be more happy/excited about the change. I think both sides (broncos and shanny) will benefit from this change. I was referring to cutler getting over the fact that shanahan is no longer there but that is not a real concern of mine. I think cutler will handle this move fine and he will understand that with McD he has a huge opportunity to be an elite QB for years to come. You are right we are all going to be exhausted with shanny comparisons. I am fully on board with McD.

  • Steven

Cutler’s redzone mistakes rose this season because of a lack of a running game and dropped passes by receivers. Did he force balls he should’nt have? Of course. Its what all gun slingers do. Better defense will take pressure off of Cutler and the offense to try and force touchdowns instead of playing it smart. If the wideouts would stop dropping passes then there would be less throws to be intercepted. And if we could run the ball teams would be forced to respect the run which helps the passing game. Cutler’s numbers will improve as everything else improves. I hope bates stays because i think he is a good coach and i think Cutler, mcd and bates can make a great trio and a unique offense. If bates leaves i dont think it will hurt Cutler. Cutler went through alot of change at vanderbilt and he’s better for it. It may take a few weeks but everyone will be fine and this will be a nonissue

  • broncoNM

I too like hillis. I think he is a much better option than torian. We have yet to see torian but im not holding my breath. Im pretty sure hillis can get the job done but it wont hurt my feelings if we get an HB in the draft. Hillis could still be a good change of pace back if we find a ligit all down back. I think the more hillis gets the ball the better it is for us.

  • kerry

i too am exhausted with the Shanny-McDaniels comparisons. but they will always be there. and McDaniels will constantly be a part of it. no matter what he does. if he walks the sidelines the Shannylovers will say “But Shanahan would have walked the sidelines better AND has 2 SB rings.” its ridiculous. i know Steeler fans who still worship Chuck Knoll. and 49ers fans who still worship Bill Walsh. even though those teams have won the SB with other coaches. thus proving it can happen.

house cleaning is coming in Dove Valley though. that is inevitable. and i for one am glad it is about to happen. we can get rid of dead weight like Hall, Young, Torain, Peterson, Robertson, Bly,Webster, Boss Bailey, Niko, Mccree, Manuel, Engelberger. i think i just named most of the defense. lol. time to clear out the bums and get new young talent in there.

  • Richard

I agree East. He isn’t a finished project yet.
What I would like to point out is that a number of the red zone interceptions had a lot to do with our lack of a consistant running game. Sure injuries had something to do with this, but so did prior managements reliance on late round draft choices and free agents who had significant injuriy histories; Torain, Selvin Young, etc.

Another factor in Red Zone interceptions had to do with our Oline. As young and talented as they are in the passing game, they hadn’t really gotten there in run O. Sure the RB injuries contributed to that, but the Broncos HAD to call pass plays on downs and distances that they would have called run plays in previous years. It was a weakness that our opponents exploited.

We do need a feaure back for two reasons.

    1. This makes the D account for him on every play, getting that second of indecision to get separation for the WRs, as well as an extra yard or two up the middle.

2 To move the chains in the third and fourth quarter after we’ve (hopefully)built a lead. T Davis and others have done this here and there are thousands of examples of players doing that on other teams.

Can Hillis be that guy? I think Hillis is a 1b guy as opposed to that 1a guy. Torain is at least a 2 guy, as is Pittman. The rest are role players at best.

  • Roy

    kerry– I mentioned Sproled because
    1) He is scheduled to be a free agent.
    2) He is Hillis’s direct opposite.
A RB by committee approach is something that could well happen, and I think those tow will compliment each other, kind of a Smash and Dash type thing.

  • JP

Josh..please do one more thing…take this team back to greeley for training camp..no more Dove Valley…lets really form some chemistry this year right from the start. Switch to the 3-4, hire Gradishar to assist the LB’s (he is interested) and take these boys out of town for a month..Its time to revert back to our roots. Time to go old school

  • Rob Bronco

The only thing that cures comparisons is wins. Plain and simple. If McD wins, you won’t hear a word. If he doesn’t, the comparisons to Shanahan will go on and on (see Elway versus every QB we’ve had in the past decade).

Cutler is not the problem. He’s not 16 years old for Christ’s sake. He’s going into his FOURTH YEAR in the NFL! C’mon people, we can do better than this. If his feelings are hurt because Shanahan got fired, he’s in the wrong business. People get fired in the NFL every day, even great people. As much as I like him, I don’t think Peyton Hillis is the answer at RB, either. The Broncos have a ton of young talent on the offense, but they need a proven RB that can avoid injury, and they need to abandon this “RB by committee” thing we’ve had for years. Just because you CAN manufacture 1k yard backs, doesn’t mean you should.

The Broncos need to use their draft picks to find some big, quick LBs or DBs that can get to the QB. Plain and simple. Bailey and Bly are still considered to be the upper echelon in their positions at corner, but if we don’t bring in some established pass rushers, we’ll all be having this same conversation at this time next year when we’re watching the playoffs on television instead of at the game.

dude he was sacked 47 times! that’s a first year QB for you, I like his 11 picks though, Jay needs to work on that the most

  • dee

what cutler needs to do is work on getting the ball to his check down receivers , that will cut his int’s in half in willing to bet …. he focuses in on one receiver alot of the time too … running the spread may give him other options rather than just focusing on B-Marsh. I want to see 5 receiver sets … B-Marsh, Royal, Stockley, C Jackson, Scheffler/P Hillis

  • BroncoinVA9986

I can’t wait for next years football not only will I be done with my two year degree but I will be able to see my MCBRONCOS FOR the first time daddy

  • OC Bronco

I agree with Kerry in that I love Hillis’ running style and ability and would LOVE to get Shonn Greene. I won a lot of bets on Iowa last year and got to see Greene abuse everyone and upstage bigger names like javon ringer, etc. in the (crappy) Big Ten
But as for Hillis – I believe that his hammy tore clean off the bone. I think you guys are nuts if you think he will be on the field and back to 100% in training camp much less the first game but I am no doctor and could be wrong about the severity of the injury. Anyway, I love the guy but he never be the same and we certainly can’t bet on him right now.
Despite the constant shuffle of RB’s we still averaged 2nd most ypc in the league. We do not need to spend a #1 on a RB. Not with the needs we have on Defense. Heck, we probably shouldn’t waste a pick on the first day on offense period.

  • darcey

Cutler will smile more when they give him running backs
and a defense He is good QB take from someone who is a PATS
fan and watches T brady …Cutler has the potential but he cant
do it all they have to stop dropping his passes get a good RB and
a darn defense this kid doesnt smile cause there is nothing to smile
about hopefully JMD can fix it now that he is the head coach….
actually if you ever seen Jay be interviewed he does smile and
its a great smile too !
