Brady Quinn to Start Thursday vs. Broncos

After a disappointing 3-5 start, the Cleveland Browns have benched quarterback Derek Anderson in favor of 2007 first round pick Brady Quinn. Quinn will make his pro football debut on Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos.

With Champ Bailey and D.J. Williams out for Thursday’s match (along with S Marlon McCree), Quinn will play against a banged-up Broncos defense that was already having trouble against the pass when healthy. It’s all on the defensive line to get pressure on Quinn and force him into mistakes.

All I have to say is this: If Jay Cutler doesn’t out-perform Brady freaking Quinn in his freaking NFL debut, I’m going to go freaking nuts.

    This is a must win to keep the division lead….we gotta step up and play tough….Cutler can’t keep playing like this….if he does look for an early pick in next years draft.

    I agree Kyle… I’m not going to have any hair left from ripping it out if our broncos can’t pull out a W on thursday. This is freaking killing me. This team is getting absolutely decimated by injuries.

    honestly i hope that we can sustain drives. we cant leave the d on the field for half the game, it’s as simple as that. i would trade jay’s outpreforming brady if it means that we are able to rack up 200 yds rushing and chew the heck out of the clock.

    Well, it’s a good time to bring him in and give him confidence. Rowdy crowd and a new QB going against no D…….smells like a dawg pound victory

    yeah jchamp thats a little harsh on Cut….he hasn’t been playing well no but he’ll be just fine. And the Broncos definitely have plenty of other concerns at this point to look at going into the draft other than a new QB. Cutler will be around for a while…he’ll get back on track.

    I think Jchamp is right IF Cutler continues to play like this then it will be seriously considered. BUT I don’t think Cutler will continue to play like this though.

    I like Brady Quinn a lot but JC still should be able to out perform him on all levels of play.

    i know our defence isn’t the best but it isnt Brady Quinn bad. He going to make alot of mistakes he’s going to make Dre Bly look good cause he try to push the ball to Edwards (Cutler to Marshall).

    Look for Jarvis Moss to have a good game (DE/LB) dont matter. Joe Thomas will be tied up with wit Dummervile.
