In quarterbacks and kickers, you want to see the ability to shake off a bad play. Forget any struggles, focus, and perform on the field.
Matt Prater just showed that exact ability. He earlier missed a 28-yarder, but had no problem converting one from twice as far! Prater just converted a 56-yard field goal that effectively ends the half and leaves the Chiefs with 13-10 lead.
The Broncos will receive the second half kickoff, and if Eddie Royal can repeat his impressive performance a few minutes ago, look for the Broncos to take the lead. Royal finally showed a big play as a returner, nearly taking it to the house after a huge 36-yard run. This put the Broncos in the Chiefs territory, allowing the Broncos to get close enough to attempt the field goal in under 40 seconds.
UPDATE: Prater is good again from 51 yards in the third quarter! Tie ball game, 13-13.
