[NFL Replay]

Re-live Jason Elam‘s third game winning kick of the season as the Denver Broncos beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football in week 7 this past season. The game will air on the NFL Network at 5:30 EST, 3:30 Denver time.

Game Recap

The reason I really wanted to post this, and watch it myself, is the opportunity it gives us to scout out the Broncos of one year ago. A lot has changed since Week 7 last year (including the abrupt and forced departure of half the defensive line), but this gives us an opportunity to take another look at the 2007 Denver Broncos in one of their better games.

I particularly want to scout the offensive line, both Chris Kuper at left guard and Erik Pears at right tackle. I also want to take a good look at the defensive line, the running backs, and the rest of the defense as a whole. In Kuper’s case in particular, I know this was one of the earliest starts of his career, and he improved as the year went on. But I still want to take a good look and see how much we can improve in 2008.

Again, that’s Sunday (tonight), 5:30 ET, 3:30 MT on the NFL Network.

Thanks for the heads up, Kyle. I actually caught most of the replay. A couple of notes on the defensive side of things…

    1. Nick’s #25 jersey showed up WAY too many times whiffing on a tackle or having a pass completed right in front of him. I was a big Ferguson fan, but this game was a bad one from him. I can definitely see what Hamza got the start over him later in the season.

    2. D.J. had a great game… Am I displaying too much man-love recently for DJ or what? :)

    3. Surprise, surprise, Elvis is a beast!

On the offensive side of the ball, I was most pleasantly reminded of how fantastic it is having Stokely for our 2008 season.

And finally, seeing Elam win the game in the last seconds with a 48 yard ‘no problem’ Field Goal makes me kinda sick to my stomach. I’m gonna miss that guy. :(
