Daily Links – Wilson to Formally Visit with Lions

  • As reported in the ol’ Rumor Mill yesterday, Al Wilson is indeed meeting with the Lions today. RMN reports (see link below) that Wilson will also undergo a physical to determine if there are any lingering effects from his neck injury. [Denver Post]
  • Add DE John Engelberger to the list of unrestricted Broncos free agents. He hit enough incentives to void the 2008 portion of his contract. Renegotiations are already underway. [Rocky Mountain News]
  • I can’t find a confirmation of this anywhere (this is one of those examples of “triple hearsay”) – but a fellow fan said they heard a local Denver station talk about Adam Schefter reporting that Javon Walker will be released before March 1st. Again, no confirmation yet, nothing on Total Access or NFL.com, but I’m keeping my eyes and ears open. [Orange Mane]
  • EA Games and the NFL reached a 3-year extension of their exclusivity contract.  Sorry, NFL 2K fans (including myself) – it’s only Madden franchise games through 2012 now.  [GameTap]
