I can’t believe no one has noticed this yet. This YouTube footage is a little grainy, but you can clearly see three Broncos players heading straight for Devin Hester in the middle of the field. Before they reach Hester, the Bronco on the left cuts inside to the middle. A moment later, just as Hester gets going, he is the victim of a brutal block in the back, knocking Bronco #2 into Bronco #3.

Just thought I’d point it out. Thanks refs. Nice call, refs. Trust me, I still blame the Denver coaching staff, but the refs definitely dropped the ball on that one.

    Dear Kyle,

I would appreciate it if you can send me some of the stuff that your smoking. All I saw there was a has been washed up team trying their very best to attempt to look like they know what they were doing. Like I said son, we shoulda won this one in regulation. Plus how does it feel losing by a measly field goal? That’s how you guys usually escape with a win. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

    Kyle,

Had to look so I did several times and then went to my TiVo and I am sorry to say this but you are seeing things. Maybe the altitude is getting to you.

You need to learn to give credit where it is due. The Bears probably did not deserve to win but what Hester did was truly amazing.

If I were a video editor I would show it up close and everything, but I’m not. It’s right in the middle of the field, 5-10 yards in front of Hester just as he makes a cut to the left.

It sure looks like a block from behind to me. Happens with :38 left on the track. Blue jersey shoves white jersey from behind, further down the field.

    Kyle,

Thanks for the track spot. I didn’t see it either. But sure enough, it is there. I don’t think it affected the play. But a penalty is a penalty. One glance at the ridiculous call on Bly is all we need as proof!

BTW – JB, Who’s smoking the mj in the altitude? The Broncos gift wrapped that W with a bow and a card. The Bears were dominated in all phases. Devin Hester won that game.

I saw it too – blue jersey pushed white jersey down from behind. We did give the game away. But the refs certainly contributed their piece…

That block was legal and from the side not that it matters anyway but denial is a serious defense mechanism, Denver lost, fair and square, Bear fans complain about Grossman’s interception as blatant pass interference but how far did that go?

  • Broncos4Life

I saw a block from the side not a block in the back. Completely legal when he’s between the ball carrier and the defender (which he was) If you’ve been following the NFL Hester is probably the most dominating player in the game today… the 1 guy who could truly win a game by himself. I recall he did that against Arizona on a monday last season. Yesterday he did it to us. Lots of teams were left scratching their heads and yelling for phantom calls in the past. Although I’m not certain about the future… we’re probably the last ones dumb enough to kick to him. And Bly should be the bears co-mvp… no need to push there.

Blame the officials all you want… the Bears are a team that wait to pray on other teams mistakes. If we didn’t mess up they wouldn’t have one. We are truly that bad. Do you recall what happened after the Bears did this to Arizona last year? AZ completely fell apart and had no faith in their coaches. I expect the same here until we get rid of Shanahan. This was an important game and there is just no recovering from a loss like this as a coach unless we want to just start rebuilding the players. 1 of the 2 have to go… Shanahan or all of our players… much easier to replace the players. I’m surprised in post game he didn’t lose it like Green did.

Let’s face it… we’ll be in the gutters of the AFC so long as he’s in charge after a loss like this. Completely demoralizing… I can’t believe they kept kicking to him…

  • get over it

wha wha wha wha wha according to you the Bears are a terrible team. A team with a 2 game winning streak against your team. Maybe just maybe the Broncos arent very good? The Bears are 3-1 against the AFC West in 2007 and 2003 so maybe the AFC West is just overrated? We can argue semantics and what ifs all day but it comes down to the final score and if your team has less then my team… guess what? It lost.

HA! More crying from a Bronco fan? It’s not Hester’s fault you idiots kicked to him and crying about calls that were correct makes you look even worse.
