Mike Shanahan announced today that Javon Walker will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and be out for a few weeks. Javon has missed two games after pain and swelling in his knee.
“Javon’s not feeling very good,” Shanahan said. “He’ll get operated on tomorrow in Houston, so he’ll be out for a few weeks.” Shanahan went on to say that the injury is not serious and is more of a cleanout.
Horrible, horrible news. Our biggest offensive playmaker has missed the most important weeks of our schedule, and now he will miss the next key matchups against the Steelers and Packers.
Meanwhile, Champ Bailey sat out practice again today and was noncommittal in playing Sunday.
