I don’t think I can agree with Goodell on making the Super Bowl an international event just yet. I’m all for football catching on in other countries and would love to see it in the Olympics soon, but why would you take the game away from the fans that got you there? Reward your base first buddy. That was a good read from the Cardinals website. Thanks Kyle.

I like the idea of shortening the preseason by one game so they can add one additional game to the regular season.

That would allow: 8 home games, 8 away games, one overseas game per team each year.

I’d heard they were talking about cutting two deals per year with countries that would then host 8 games per year each. That way those cities would have a semi-season of football to experience and the league would get to switch up those two countries/cities each year to get the world-wide audience bigger. It would also allow more NFL revenue and increase the talent pool coming out of other countries.

However, I agree whole-heartedly with Crosshare on the Super Bowl. That needs to be a US thing.

I think I remember reading on the Mile High Report that we’re going to lose a home game to Canada next season? I’m actually not upset. (This is a season ticket holder mind you) I really like the idea of us exporting one or two games a year if the international fans support it. Especially after seeing how fast the London Game’s tickets sold out this year. I just hope it’s drawing other nationalities than transplanted Americans. Once again, wouldn’t it be freaking awesome to root for the USA for football in the Olympics? I can only dream.
