Week 1 Pick ‘Ems

At halftime last night, I actually thought, “Hey I might be wrong about the Saints. They look like a legit team after all.”

31 points later and I wasn’t singing the same tune.

Every week, Jonathan and I will go through and select our weekly winners of each game. Since he’s on the road this weekend at the Toronto Film Festival, I get the benefit of picking weekly contests without the consequences (although if I ace this thing – unlikely – I’ll be including it in the running total).

CAR @ STL		Panthers shut them out last year.
PIT @ CLE		Cleveland will be 0-4 after a brutal opening stretch.
TB @ SEA		Seattle has a lot of prove and has that “it” factor.
DET @ OAK		Close one to call, but the battle of the horrible offensive lines goes to the team with a QB and solid WRs.
ATL @ MIN		Not fun to go to the MetroDome in Week 1, Joey Harrington.
CHI @ SD		Will the Bears be calling for Griese after only one week?
MIA @ WAS		I think Washington will bounce back this year and win 7-9 games.
NYG @ DAL		Seriously, Tiki, just STFU already.
NE @ NYJ		I’d be shocked if the Jets stole this one.
BAL @ CIN		Hardest one to pick – in the end, I like Baltimore’s defense to stop the Cincy running game. And they have a great secondary.
ARI @ SF		Close one to call, also. But the Cardinals struggle to stop Frank Gore.
