A few noteworthy… um, notes, today.

  • Today’s practice marks a Broncos tradition – every year it is the most attended, mainly because of the physical focus of the event. Full pads and full contact today, with the first teams going at each other. It’s big news in Broncos football to see Champ Bailey on Javon Walker snap after snap in full pads, and I’ll have a report later this afternoon (have to work until 5).
  • Warrick Holdman did indeed get released from the hospital yesterday. No word on when he’ll see the field again.
  • Tonight is the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony – in fact, you can even go this web site and catch a live stream of the speeches. Tomorrow I will post an article I’ve been working on in “celebration” – 5 Broncos who have been snubbed by the Hall.
  • In news around the AFC West, it looks like the Chargers will be missing everyone’s favorite double-muffer for 10 weeks. WR Eric Parker underwent foot surgery and could miss significant time.
  • It appears that Dwayne Bowe didn’t sign after all. He’s still holding out, despite reports Tuesday (including mine) indicating otherwise. Poor, poor Chiefs fans…

Heading for work… I’ll post all the juicy tidbits from the biggest practice of the year when I get back tonight.

Let me know when you get your HoF ‘Celebration’ post up — I’ll mention it and give a link to it over at MDO. I’m looking forward to it! :)

    Hello again John!

Your site is exploding lately. Awesome job, keep it up.

Originally I was going to post all 5 in one long post, but it wouldn’t do each player justice. I hope to have the Floyd Little post today or tomorrow… I’m more passionate about Little getting in than probably anyone on this list. Only two Broncos jersey numbers are retired -#7 and #44 – and Little wasn’t nicknamed “The Franchise” for nothing.

I’ll admit that I’m a young Broncos fan – 23 years old and still in college – but I’m passionate about Broncos history and I find myself growing as a fan whenever I study the franchise’s history. These posts are half an excuse just to look up and drool over the former Broncos who have come through the halls of Mile High.

Yeah, I’d have to admit to being a rather new bronco fan (mid-80’s), so I always like to see info on Denver’s football history.

I have it linked up on my sticky post.

…and, yeah, I noticed that Camp has really boosted all of our hits — can’t wait for the regular season! :)

    Thanks!
