2012 Week 4 – Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos – The BT GameBlog.

We’re trying a different format for this week. Follow me on Twitter @BroncoTalk for updates throughout the game, otherwise keep it locked into the comments below. We’ll be here discussing the game through all four quarters, posting stats, and more!

FOURTH QUARTER

The fourth quarter has been a matter of the Broncos maintaining their strong lead, and trying to get out of the game healthy. Outside of one big fourth down throw, the defense has been relentless, while Ronnie Hillman has been seeing plenty of action offensively. They added two field goals to their total, leading 37-6.

THIRD QUARTER

Broncos vs. Raiders Q3 stats

'Nuff said.

…Also known as, when the Broncos bust this sh** open. Continually forcing three and outs. Blocked punt by special special teamsman David Bruton. Three long, unstoppable touchdown drives. The Broncos went into the half with a 10-6 lead and turned it into a 31-6 lead in just over ten minutes.

Peyton Manning is currently 22 of 27 for 256 yards and two touchdowns.

SECOND QUARTER

The defining plays of the half hopefully don’t persist to be the defining plays of the game. Demaryius Thomas‘ phantom fumble as he raced for the end zone cost the Broncos a touchdown. Later, a ridiculous playcall by John Fox and company saw Matt Prater throwing for the end zone on a fake field goal on fourth and one.

The Broncos lost J.D. Walton for the game with an ankle injury. Veteran signee Dan Koppen will fill in.

FIRST QUARTER

The Broncos converted two third downs and one fourth down on the game’s opening drive; credit Peyton Manning for 74 of the drive’s 80 yards. Willis McGahee had three runs for six yards, otherwise it was all Manning, culminating in a 22-yard Joel Dreessen touchdown.

  • http://broncotalk.net Monty

Today is the first time the #Broncos have had a 300-yard passer and 100-yard rusher since 11/30/08 (Cutler and Hillis). We’re one minute into the fourth quarter.

    New England will be tough

  • Speer999

not if we play like this. In other words, not drop passes, and not make turnovers. Peyton has a much better passer rating this week.

  • plato68

true consistency is the key to victory

Why don’t we let him do that more often. I think he is the best kicker in the league

  • 350legend

like what i see in Hillman, just a matter of time before he explodes, (of course, if he stays healthy)

  • 350legend

    So true!!
