We’re celebrating some of the greatest hits in Denver Broncos history.  Today, we remember Steve Atwater‘s big hit in Super Bowl XXXII.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for Hit No. 5!  After the series is over we’ll top it off with one big hitastic video.

How is this not number one? There is no greater example of laying it on the line. You don’t want to see these guys get hurt, but this is what being a Champion is about. 100% when it counts.

Dude sorry guys but are these highlights serious? Come on if your gonna do this but some high quality videos up and some on the hits you put up here are VERY questionable. Im usually not a hater, but i love defense and big hits and i think you guys could be doing a much better job. dont forget that you said greatest hits in DENVER BRONCO HISTORY! Over half have been in the past 10 years!! LOL!!

If you have (or know of) high quality footage of the hits please send them my way (jon@broncotalk.net).

As I commented in a previous thread, it should be clarified that this series is a collection of “some of the greatest hits” in the team’s history, not necessarily “The Broncos’ best hits ever in a specified order…”

As for the hits being questionable, everybody has their own opinions. I’ve had people tell me everything imaginable — hits are more memorable to some people than others.

And who is to say the Broncos’ best hits haven’t come in the past ten years? In that time we’ve had Al Wilson, John Lynch, Brian Dawkins and many more hit specialists — since 2002, Denver has had some great beat downs.

So, you have your take and I have mine. Just wait for the final “Best Of” video, that’s the good one.

What do you do for the Broncos, or Bronco Fans?
Thanks for for putting in the work Broncotalk.net!

I was looking for this to be number one as well. :-)

It was I that had the question as well as far as greatest of all time and Jon did in-fact say then that it was “some” of the greatest. I love this hit however and think its far far from questionable… If you don’t think this was an epic hit you’re prolly not much of a football fan in the first place. But thats OK maybe you don’t know that much about the game… We understand… No really we do!!!

Jon I certainly hope that when I asked that it didn’t come off like that… that just reads/sounds rude to me. And if you do the math they have been covering more than 10 years, hell the SB’s were more than 10 years ago.
