As expected, Denver Broncos head coach John Fox didn’t reveal on Monday who the team’s starting quarterback will be moving forward.

Fox noted that the players will be informed before an announcement is made to the media (the players will report to practice tomorrow morning).  Fox will be available to talk to the media following tomorrow morning’s practice session.

“We’ll communicate with the people involved and the team long before we announce it,” said Fox on Monday. “That won’t be happening today.”

The players will have off on Thursday through Sunday (per the new CBA rules), but Wednesday’s practice schedule and media availability is listed as “To be established,” which could be because the team is preparing for a make-shift announcement press conference.

Expect an official announcement to come either tomorrow or on Wednesday (perhaps with an announcement tomorrow and press conference Wednesday).  At the conclusion of his Monday press conference, Fox thanked the media for their patience through the whole situation — the fans may not be as understanding.

It’s almost as if Fox is trying to tease us.  But I understand completely, of course he wants to tell the players before telling the whole world. Stay tuned…

I almost wonder if some ‘fans’ expect a ballot.

Not trying to be a hardass, jon, but really with the headline? Lol

Tim Tebow contributed to the Gators’ 2006 college football season as a key back-up, helping the team win college football’s national championship game for the first time since 1996.

During the 2007 season, Tebow was Florida’s starting quarterback and became the first college football player to both rush and pass for 20 or more touchdowns in a single season and the first college sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy.

In addition to winning the Heisman Trophy, his 2007 performance earned him the Maxwell Award as the nation’s top football player, the Davey O’Brien Award as the nation’s best quarterback and the James E. Sullivan Award as the nation’s most outstanding amateur athlete in any sport.

In 2008, Tebow led Florida to its second national championship in three years. He was named the offensive MVP of the national championship game.

    Better now?

As I have said many times… He has gotten and 100% deserves EVERYTHING that he has gotten from his collage performances on and off the field.

However an NFL QB none of that necessarily makes… He has done NONE of that thus far in the NFL. Hope he does for sure but history and my gut says… NOPE!

    Please… Let the experiment begin!!!

Well if you gut says so then we better not even bother trying.  ;)

Seriously, why not start tebow now?  If he fails then we know we should be QB shopping (maybe we could get a little luck with that? – sorry can’t help the pun).  If he doesn’t fail then awesome – we are set.  I think we are out of the playoffs at 1-4 and we know what orton will do.  The only reason I can think to keep playing orton is to show him off for future trades, but each game he looks worse.

By the way, I’m actually believe orton is undervalued – depsite his lousy red-zone record.  I would have traded for orton before I’d have paid the completely inexperience Kolb what they paid him.  I think Miami would be way better off right now with orton as well.

Hmmm no I guess they shouldnt… **Rolling my eyes**

You’re preaching to the choir for sure… As I like to say; “let the experiment begin.”

Hey I’d be stoked if I were wrong and would be glad to say “I was wrong about Tebow.” I like him, I just don’t think its there as a full time starter. For sure only one way to find out.

As for Orton… Thats to damn funny, he has totally taken himself out of any money. He wouldn’t except what the Fins were offering and now He will be somewhere for even less. That was a bone head move on his part!
