Walton blocking for Moreno

“Predominantly orange” has left the figurative and re-entered the literal.

The Denver Broncos‘ request to switch their home jerseys to orange has been approved by the NFL, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports. In 2012, the Broncos will wear orange uniforms for ten of their twelve home games (including preseason and back-to-back home playoff games), as well as the Super Bowl of course, while their current navy blue home colors will become alternates worn twice a year.

“This is what our fans wanted,” Broncos president Joe Ellis told Klis. “And we’re going to accommodate their wishes starting with 2012.”

The last time the Broncos changed uniforms, things worked out pretty well. While this won’t be a logo overhaul like 1997, we’re excited to welcome back the Orange Crush.

“This is what our fans wanted,” Broncos president Joe Ellis told Klis. “And we’re going to accommodate their wishes starting with 2012.”

Yet the fans want Tebow to start but it seems like it’s falling on deaf ears…

    Heck yes, Orange is back!!!

    Awesome!!

    It’s not 2012 yet.

I hope the orange will bring the crush back.  Broncos really need to work on their defense.  The quaterback needs all the help he can get.  It dosen’t matter which one of the three they use without the defense they won’t go anywhere

Changing the color of the uniforms and the quarterback are totally different. You can’t even compare that.

Good, but they need to change the entire scheme…keep the logo and colors, get regular stripes on the pants and helmets.

Agree, the BS Nike look needs to go.  Save it for college and high school teams.  The logo is great.

In what year can we expect a playoff team? 2015? How long will Brian XANDERS be around to make group decisions? When will Moreno be good? How many TE’S do we have to draft before we get a decent one? When will Tebow walk on water again?

Thanks for that link, that lit some fire under my rear. Great video

Will this clown continually pop off about XANDERS in completely unrelated posts?

I hope it stays just like it is with the orange as shown in the thread photo. I personally see no need to change up the entire uniform. Looks great as it is.

I like the all Blue look with jerseys and pants but don’t think all orange would look very good.

We’ll all move forward with it, full revamp or not…

The 8 ball says “Chances are good”…lol.

Sorry Herc. I have to. XANDERS has to go. I think it would be the best step in the right direction. I can’t get over how bad he is and the damage he has done. Even if McD was calling the shots. Brian was his boss and should have done something to stop the madness. The moves were so bad the least he could have done is dial 911 from the war room and ask for help.

They should never have changed the uniform in the first place.  While I do really like the new logo better.  It wasn’t called the “Orange Crush” defense because their uniforms were predominantly orange.  THE JERSEYS WERE ORANGE

Go back to the pre-super bowl uniforms, Orange Crush, old logo, and keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep Solid White Shoes, & White Ankle tape !!!
The NFL teams wearing to slug ugly, dorky, slow looking black shoes & ankle tape make me sick.

Uniforms are about identity, not changing every few years to be stylish! The Broncos should go back to the original “Orange Crush” look. Tex Schram designed the current Dallas Cowboys uniforms back in the mid 1960’s so people tuning in on would recognize his team every week. He got that idea from a conversation with the GM of the NY Yankees. They are identified around the world along with all the other classic uniforms. As for Seattle, JAX, Tampa, Rams, Atlanta ect, just keep with the trendy expansion look and color scheme change and confuse those watching outside you’re county line!!

What color was the home jersey when john elway played?

Seriously????  What fans wanted orange???  Trust me, the female gender would tend to disagree!!  Orange is one of the most UNCOMPLIMENTRY color ever.  Women have become a greater percentage of fans in Colorado in the past 20 years and are at least half of the uniform buying population!  Women perfer to wear the darker uniforms (they compliment the figure).  Where orange makes the complextion yellow.  I certainly hope that the prominently blue uniforms are going to still be available for the style-conscience wearer.  The uniforms that have been conformed to the woman’s shape is the best thing that has happened for female fans!!!  We certainly hope we don’t have to wear last years model until you switch the colors back.  THUMBS DOWN TO ORANGE.
