LenDale White

Denver native LenDale White never got to really suit up for his hometown team. In one calendar year, the sixth-year running back played in only a handful of preseason games for the Denver Broncos before the team released him today, the Denver Post reports. An Achilles tear kept him out of the entire 2010 season.

White, the league leader in touchdowns in 2008, had rushed for 10 yards on four carries in Denver’s first preseason game, a performance that was overshadowed by RB Jeremiah Johnson‘s 28-yard, one touchdown effort Thursday. Already buried on the depth chart behind Knowshon Moreno, Willis McGahee, and Lance Ball, the writing was on the wall for White.

aaaw to bad. I was really pullin for him. he had a great couple of years with the titans and i thought he was close to starting last year before he got injured. he looked great in that preseason. i was really hoping denver could have a good native on our team.  i know a few guys who played against him in high school when he was at chatfield and mullen. said he was pretty big in high school to, physically. he was a great back up for reggie bush in college.

Don't think you can play in this league if you don't stay in shape. Sometimes and probably most of the time you have to take things to help. If you look at the last couple of Super Bowl teams they look like they are in better shape than most. I remember the Giants Super Bowl run a few years ago. Tuck and a few others on that team seemed to get bigger every playoff game. Steelers Super Bowl run was the same. Wish we would bring Romo back into the locker room. Let him whip some of these players into shape if you know what I mean. It's a huge part of the game and it does happen. Don't care how much they test.

i agree to a point. i think romo would help the D just on shear work ethic alone really. i mean, look at what kevin green has done for the pack as a backers coach. he's a fresh coach in this league. i remember when he was a beast for the steelers. why can people take him seriously as a coach but not Romo? Romo had a great career with 2 teams and has a few rings to show for it. why cant denver bring him in as an assistant and let him get some coaching wings under him to start a good D-coaching career? he had a great work ethic and he understands the rule of enhancment supplements to a T so he could probably give pointers on how to ride the line without using something illegal. not to mention his meaness as a player. he could really put some fire in the D's linebacking core.

He has had a lot of on the field and off the field trouble in his life.  Don't know whether you heard all the scandals.

Here is a little taste from our good friends at wikipedia:
Off the field, he and his wife were investigated for prescription drug fraud, though the charges were later dropped.[1] Records seized by the government belonging to the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative, later discovered to be the source of a designer steroid, indicate that he had used the anabolic steroid “The Clear” and synthetic testosterone ointment “The Cream” provided by BALCO since 2003. In an October 16, 2005 appearance on 60 Minutes, Romanowski admitted to using steroids and human growth hormone that he received from Victor Conte, BALCO owner.[6]
