One of the biggest questions of the offseason for Bronco fans was what the Broncos were going to do with Kyle Orton. Well, now that the lockout is over it seems that they are very interested in dealing him.

Orton has had a lucrative career and there are many teams who are quarterback hungry.

The Dolphins would be a quarterback hungry team, and reportedly, they are interesting in dealing for Orton.

Dave Hyde of the Sun Sentinel reports,

In other words, it’s a sprint, not a marathon, and the first Dolphins call will be to Denver to survey the cost for Orton, according to a source. But the first question isn’t about that cost. The first question is whether the phone line will be busy.

So stayed tuned Bronco fans, it seems like it’s going to be a crazy day.

Bronco talk comes to life with vigor! Post are flying and I'm loving it. I think I'll buy something from a page ad just to make it more worth your time! Thanks for the great coverage without all the noise!

Hope y'all behind the scenes here have been resting your typing fingers.  These next 4 days are going to be wild.

Orton to Marshall?  Don't forget Marshall made Orton ;)

maybe it was the other way around. Orton still had a great year without Marshall, and Marshall was, well so so

    Orton for Marshall?

The thing is that Orton is a good QB. He isn't elite, but he is better than mediocre/average. The knock I have with Orton is that he can't make anybody on his team better. He is our new Brian Griese (really good QB, but only if everything goes as planned). If orton goes to a strong team like Minnesota, he'll win games and people will say we made a mistake. That would be a huge overstatement, because he will only win games and play well if he's surrounded by a great team.

If Orton goes to an average/struggling team like Arizona, Miami, Buffalo etc then he will struggle while completing 5 yard passes all day and probably not win a whole heck of a lot of games. The reason for this is because he has never been able to elevate his teammates around him. If a play breaks down, he'll do 1 of 3 things. #1 get sacked even if nobody is within 10 yards of him, #2 throw a pick, #3 fumble. Orton just doesn't have what it takes to improvise. He's great when the play goes on without a hitch, but horrendously bad if anything goes wrong.

Any team that trades for Orton will get a good QB, but they must also think/believe that they won't put him in tough spots and ask him to get them out of them. If the team is strong enough to simply need a QB that “won't lose a game”, then Orton should be fine, but if he goes to a team that needs a QB to help win a game, then everyone will make a mistake in trading for him.

I can't believe how excited I am about not ever having to watch Orton scream like a little kid and collapse to the ground when a def player gets within 5 feet.  He is destined to wear baby blue with Marshall.

Culter was QB when Marshall played in Denver. Orton was in Chicago.

The Dolphins are reportedly in contract talks with Orton.

Contract talks? Last I heard (and I'm watching both ESPNs and listening to 102.3 fm) is that Miami is reportedly offering a 3rd for Orton, but nothing else has been said, and even that was almost an “oh by the way” type of report.

ETA: Nevermind. Just read on MHR that they are in contract talks.

Your not real smart. Marshall played one year with Orton. Then they sent him packing haha
