Denver Broncos rookie offensive lineman Jeff Stehle gets drenched in mud during a rookie hazing loose ball drill Thursday (BroncoTalk.net)
When the weight of the world seems to be bearing down on you — injuries piling up, your fans in a state of panic –Â sometimes it helps to just take a deep breath, and be a little silly.
That’s a philosophy to which the Denver Broncos subscribe anyway, as the team employed hoses and buckets of water to soak the south end of the practice field before sending rookies splashing for loose footballs in the mud. Mud Bowl II — the Broncos kicked off the tradition last year — gave the team a fun distraction from the heavy toll of recent injuries, Elvis Dumervil in particular.
After the jump, a photo gallery of Broncos rookies in all their action-packed muddy glory. As always, look for more photos from training camp on our Facebook page. Full practice report in a bit.
