Kicker Matt Prater re-ups with Broncos

Matt Prater

Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater, who was an exclusive rights free agent, has agreed to a new contract with the club, the Denver Post reports. Terms of the new deal were not known.

Prater made 30 of 35 field goals in 2009 and converted 32 of 32 extra point attempts.

A solid move on a busy day by the Broncos.

    I would say great move Prater usually kicks it out of the end zone on kickoffs and was pretty good last year. The guy is only going to get better. Great Move Broncos

    Good plan. Our line seems to be "rotational" it's nice that our kicker is not. I think Prater can be a top 10 kicker in the league next year, as long as he gets more consistent on his 35-45 yard attempts.

    Big day for Denver and Prater is becoming a very solid kicker. Center we need a center, we need to focus on that, and a guard or 2.

    Good re-signing. Prater was horrible two years ago, but pretty good last year, not great, but better than a lot of teams situations. I really think a lot of his game relies on confidence and I think McD knows how to get the best out of him.
