Shanahan has his work cut out for him (Mitchell Layton/Getty Images)

This is a new feature we’re rolling out, taking (what aims to be) a daily tour of the ever-growing Broncos’ blogosphere.

The Washington Redskins have a history of hiring, struggling under, and firing big-name coaches in the Dan Snyder era. The Latest Word wonders if Mike Shanahan can break the trend (and since this feature is transparently modeled after their daily “Denver Blogs” update, it’s fitting they christen its maiden voyage).

Broncos Stable looks to the Tuna for wisdom in these uncertain times.

If you’re a Broncos player who was mildly unhappy or had something to get off your chest, you likely went on Denver sports radio FM 104.3 The Fan this week. Broncos Zone has a handy collection of links for your listening pleasure.

    Shanny save the Skins?
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
    AHAHAHAHA
    AHAHAHAHAH
    AHAHAHAHAHAH.

i will say this though. with the Skins defense (thats already there and has nothing to do with anything Shanny has done) and the new Running game thats coming in, i think the Skins will be better then us this year. unless we dump Orton and get a QB who can actually throw the ball further then 2 yards.

  • TheTroglodyte

To be fair, Orton missed his share of throws under 2 yards as well. A qb who can even consistently hit the screen would be an upgrade.

wanna know whats really sad? McD is gonna have Orton back and wont even give Brandstater or somebody else a shot. im still debating on who has the bigger ego, Shanny or McD.

  • WhidbeyBronco

i think the article was concerning Shanny in DC you trolls! (lol, so kidding.)

The question is a good one. He saved us after failure after failure but Pat Bowlen is no snyder… That monster could ruin any coach. To me his worst screw-up was firing Marty after he'd just rallied the troops… we'll see.

Oh Marty! Funny, has any team had any luck after Marty? Browns, Chiefs, Redskins, Chargers? Chargers have the best shot, but what have any of these teams really accomplished after Marty left?
