Ryan Harris

Denver Broncos starting right tackle Ryan Harris, who suffered an injury during Sunday’s 30-7 loss to Baltimore, has already been ruled out for next Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Head Coach Josh McDaniels informed the media today.

“He will not play this week,” McDaniels said.

The latest from the Denver Post is that Harris likely won’t be playing for a few weeks. Harris suffered two dislocated toes and was seen wearing a large splint, boot and crutches after the game.

Tyler Polumbus will likely start in Harris’ place.

Pass protection was an issue, if not THE issue, in Sunday’s loss to Baltimore, and the Steelers can get after the quarterback as well. Polumbus better be ready.

This is not good!!! Hopefully Tyler can come in and protect Orton and pave the way for our RB's.

It looked to me like Ryan Harris was responsible for missing the block which caused Orton to get sacked on the 1st quarter opening drive. I know he's normally awesome, but hopefully nursing this lower extremity injury will give him more time to rewatch the tape and figure out what went wrong. Maybe he can coach the rest of the O-Line to shape up and pull together from the sidelines.

Uh, no. It was Buck who didn't put a body check on Jackson, which caused the sack. Harris was already engaged with a DE.

I went back and it looked to me like Harris turned left and took Kuper's guy, with Weigman and Harris engaged and Kuper left blocking nobody.

True, but Buck should have seen Jackson coming past the line unblocked and didn't even check him. Don't know why the blocking broke down there, but it definitely set the tone for the remainder of the game.
