  • When all the facts come out, people will find out Richard (Quinn)‘s done nothing wrong…. Richard did everything he was taught to do to defuse an otherwise irrational person and he’s the person sitting in jail.” [Denver Post]
  • Turning on the way-back machine (not really) to May 2009.  Quinn talks about being drafted.  [Colorado Springs Gazette]
  • I’d rather Quinn and Marshall have something else in common, like, say, big play abilities.  [The Latest Word]
  • It takes more than “arm strength” and “confidence” to quarterback.  What Kizla fails to recognize in this “start Simms over Orton” piece is that Simms just throws a lot of wild passes. [DPO]

  • Andre Goodman says he’s ready to embrace the role of “the other” cornerback.  [DPO]
  • Rookie Robert Ayers admits he still has a ways to go to get up to NFL speed.  [CSG]

  • MLB: Rockies keeping a 2-game lead over San Fran in the NL Wild Card.  [ESPN]
  • Jack Burton

Yeah I think the main qualification for being a sports writer is not making the team in high school. Gotta love the Post.

Anyone heard how Orton threw the football today? I live in Cincy and will be at the game. I need to know whats going on with this situation so i can bet accordingly.

JP, Doesn’t matter if Orton is ready or not. Saw one of your pre-season games while traveling and have seen all of Denver’s. I think Denver is ready to lay a major egg in the opener. Give the points and bet the farm on Cincy.
