Knowshon Moreno

The Broncos’ longest holdout since 1997 is almost over.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post is reporting that the Denver Broncos and first round draft pick running back Knowshon Moreno are close on a deal. Klis states that “significant progress” has been made in negotiations on a 5-year contract that is expected to be worth at least $22 million.

Adam Schefter followed up by saying that sources in Denver expect the deal to be completed this evening.

It’s about time. Finish it up, and get Knowshon on a flight to Denver so he can sign that bad boy tomorrow in time for the 1:15 p.m. practice!

    That’s what I’m talking about!

OK Adam reported by this morning but nothing. Hope he is right this time.
If 5 years at $22 million is right then Knowshon gets about $19.4 as a bonus, wow.
Remember last year Ryan got $11.8 for a bonus.
Well that’s they difference between LT and RB, I guess.

    Just get him there

Everyone will forget about this holdout the first time he has a 150 yard 2 TD game.
Whether it’s $22mil with 12 mil guaranteed or $22 mil with $20mil guaranteed, he’s still gonna get his $22million, cause we aren’t gonna cut him within 5 years, unless he blows out his legs. Let’s pray that doesn’t happen.

Cut him loose – the man is a DIVA. He’s a rookie, he’s gonna be trouble. Why does he think he’s worth 22 mil when he has never played an NFL game. Get to training camp, play a year, and if he proves himself, then he can ask for the big bucks.

    Great news!

Bonita, the diva here is Michael Crabtree at 11. He’s asking for top 5 money and stated yesterday that he’s willing to hold out all year to get it. Gobronx to Crabtree – fire your agent and pull your head out. So after that fiasco yesterday, Orakpo (#13) signed – smart move Brian. That gives a base salary to work towards at #12 which is why you’ll see Knowshon in Denver today or tonight.

This dude is talented! I hope he’s a quick study so he can be fully up to speed by the end of the preseason!

at least he isn’t basing his draft money on where he was slated to go in the mock draft ! … still can’t believe that one
