Eddie Royal

WEDNESDAY INJURY/PRACTICE REPORT — Denver Broncos wide receiver Eddie Royal fully participated in practice on Wednesday. Royal had missed most of last week’s practice session and Sunday’s game with a bruised ankle bone. While it hasn’t been officially announced, the fact that he is already listed as “full participation” is a great sign that he’ll be ready for the upcoming Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots (preview).

Meanwhile, rookie running back Ryan Torain saw his first snaps at practice on Wednesday. He’s been sidelined with an elbow injury all season long. Torain was listed under “limited participation” on Wednesday. Unless he practices fully in the next few days, I’d expect him to remain inactive Week 7 and wait until after the bye to make his pro debut.

Other Broncos weren’t so lucky – LB Boss Bailey and WR Brandon Stokley did not participate with an ankle injury and concussion respectively. TE Tony Scheffler and RB Selvin Young were limited with groin injuries suffered against Tampa Bay in Week 5. They’ll need to see more of the practice field by the end of the week to crack the lineup on Monday.

It will really help our passing game to have Royal back. It gives Cutler another option our there….of course that is if Cutler decides to look at someone other than Marshall, but I have faith…

I’m SO excited to see what Torain can do for us….

TO-RAIN!!! TO-RAIN!!! now i dont think that torain will be the answer to all of our prayers… well at least not this season any ways… but you never know with pittman carrying the load and Torain as the change of pace/3rd down back may have the broncos looking more towards the run and controlling the game… which they hvent done in any game so far this year.

Pittman sure has been doing a great job carrying the football lately. He really makes defenders pay at the end of the run. It’d be great to have Torain as a change-of-pace back for sure, give Pittman a breather every once in awhile.

Speaking of running backs, why do we have Andre Hall as our kick returner. We need someone with a little more speed back there in my opinion. Better field position will give our offense a huge boost for sure and it would also keep the defense out of any tough spots. It’s just something that’s been bothering me for awhile….

Everyone knows that Cutler will use all of his options, IF they are there. Last game, there was really only one good, reliable option (Marshall) and thats why he was seeing a lot of the passes go his way. DJack plain out sucks, Nate Jackson is mediocre, And I’m not a fan of Martinez, but i’ll give him props for a nice catch he had. But if we get back Royal, Scheffler, Young, and Stokely, you will see Cutler’s numbers skyrocket, like in weeds 1-3. Cutler will make pro-bowl this year. I dont know why theres people who would not want your QB to have a ton of confidence, and be cocky. I love his attitude and confidence!! Thats exactly what I want out of my QB. He will put up great stats against the Pats. GO BRONCOS

Is it just me or does Boss Bailey get hurt about three times every game?

Haha Mike – very true. You should join us at the live blog each week. It’s the “Weekly Boss Bailey Injury Timeout.”

I loved Torain at Arizona State. He is the ultimate answer to the Broncos bug back problems.
