Matt Prater Misses 28-Yard Field Goal

The Chiefs crowd is really into it now. Trailing 13-7, Broncos Kicker Matt Prater missed a chip-shot 28-yard field goal, and the Chiefs now have possession of the ball with a little over two minutes left.

Punter Brett Kern hasn’t been earning his paycheck either, shanking a punt earlier in the 2nd quarter that gave the Chiefs good field position.

Arrowhead is never an easy place to kick, but the Broncos need to rely on Prater to hit these kicks in a close game like this.

On a more somber note, Chiefs’ first round draft pick Branden Albert looks hurt – possibly badly hurt – and is being carted off the field. It looks serious, and I’d be surprised to see Albert back out there. Best of luck Branden.
